Quote:
Riding to the front lines of battle at the Dark Portal, where great demons and mortals clash, Grashlok noticed out of the corner of his eye an Orc. The Orc was a little weary, it seemed, as he was sitting down. He was in full battle garb, mace in hand. Grashlok knew he must ride further, but something about this Orc seemed to call him.
It was too great to pass up Grashlok decided. Grashlok dismounted off his wolf and walked to the Orc. As he came to the Orc he noticed a peculiar aura about the Orc, but thought nothing of it. Walking up to the Orc Grashlok stuck out his hand and said calmly, "Come, old one, it is time to get up." The Orc put out his hand for Grashlok to grab, but, as Grashlok went to grab for it to help the Orc up, Grashlok's hand went straight through the Orc's hand. Grashlok gasped, backed up and drew his daggers.
"Calm down," the Orc said while standing, "I am your friend. And I'm in need."
Grashlok did not sheath his weapons. "You're nothing but an apparition. Who are you?"
"I'm Trebor, young one. My souls knows no rest, which is why I wander here."
"What do you need from me?"
"I was the leader in a raid into the Blasted Lands. Nineteen of my men fell in battle. Had it not been for an ambush by Murlocs, orders would have gotten to me to tell me not to venture into these ill-begotten lands. But it is all in the past now. I want you to help free my men from the clutches of the demons. I have escaped the demons' grasps, but my soul knows no rest. All nineteen of them still reside in the Blasted Lands."
Grashlok took an easier stance, but still weary.
"And what of the demons after I help your men?"
"Orc, if you can get there, then I have plans to destroy the demons that bind my men and help eradicate the Blasted Lands from the evil that resides there."
"Trebor, I was just riding into the Blasted Lands to fight against the demons coming from the Dark Portal. I will see what I can do to free your men and bring you peace."
I'm attempting to do a mock-up of the
Fallen Hero of the Horde quest line. I'm not that great at writing in third person, but it's doing alright I suppose. I'll have fun writing this I think.
