You trying to buy a Nobles deck for that much? HELL no. The decks (using Allakhazam prices) go for 12,000. Your price is 6200 + 1254 = 7454.

If someone is offering to sell a nobles deck and you have those mats, then yes, do the trade immediately and resell the deck for the 4k more it is worth.

I got it. This thread was a bit all-over the place, I posted in the wrong forums initially, then posted to have it moved, then I thought it had disappeared etc... sorry it's badly written.

Basically a guy was offering a nobles deck for 7k, I didn't have that much. I offered him 6.5k and he turned it down, fair enough. I then thought about my titansteel bars and offered him 6.2k plus the titansteel bars, which he went for.

I know Alla's price is around 11-12k, but I've found that the prices on here can be wildly optimistic, so was wondering whether I got a good deal or not.

No, 11-12K is very normal....the week before the fair. Now that people have to wait a couple weeks to turn the deck into the card, card prices drop notably.

If you were on my server that would be a great deal - prices match Alla's.

Prices on my old server are still at 9-10k and spike up to 15k during the fair.

On my new server I don't know as I rerolled past weekend and am only lvl 19 :P

On my backwater server I've seen certain cards go for 5-7k EACH! People wonder why I don't have it for my threat set.

So the offer is about 7200g for a Nobles deck. I would jump on that.

Prices are usually modest when it's not right around the DMF.

And the Alla 'average price' doesn't mean anything, really; it's going to depend on your server's economy, especially herb prices, more than anything else.

Yeah, I think you got a good deal - assuming this thing procs on a regular basis then its an obscenely awesome trinket, although even if it doesn't, its still pretty solid for 7k.

The question is though, when does 3.1 come out and how easy will the trinkets from Uld be to get? If its hitting soon and you're a raider with a decent chance to get first or second dibs on one that fits your class, then this may have been wasted money as I'm sure the price is going to decrease somewhat.

Even when Ulduar hits this will remain as one of the best trinkets for nearly every class. The proc is the standard internal cooldown of 45 seconds, so out of about every 50 seconds you will get the proc.

The spreadsheet currently estimates this trinket adds approximately 130 dps on its own (i've had it for a while now, as i made a DK with inscription early on). For reference, the number two trinket would be Fury of the Five Flights which adds roughly 95 dps.

The next best for retribution is the Mirror of Truth 40 badge trinket, which i estimate at about a 60 dps increase. So you can see the Darkmoon card is worth a lot if you raid often and want the best results. I especially like it, as it's available outside of raiding 25 mans, and my guild just isn't big enough for that.

They go for about 7-9k on my server. And I thought they were expensive :P

It'll still suck for DPS casters, but yeah. There might be a better Healadin one although it's unlikely, and most other healers don't get a lot of use out of it.

For everyone else, I'd be shocked if it ends up even as the second-best trinket given how horribly Blizzard usually itemizes them... and in that case you're still going to use it.
