Last Night's Post-Update Debacle (was forum=69)Follow

Okay, it's not a rant, but not a useful post. Consider it a musing, if you will.

My main, and several alts, are on Uldum. At 8p.m. my time last night (7p.m. EST), it was still down. I did notice that several servers were up, however. I decided to roll a toon on one of these (I still have my Pancake Bunnehs on Shadow Council, but that wasn't available either). I chose Sentinels (RP)and created a Night Elf hunter (don't ask- she's only the second NE I've ever rolled), and started. I entered the NE starting area to be greeted by a massive all-naked Night Elf dancing orgy, complete with shouting spam, General Chat spam, and /say spam. Whee. I turned off General, /shout and /say, and started on my way. An hour and a half later, I realised something: Apart from the retards who were there just to be morons at the expense of the people that wanted to play, I enjoyed the RP server a lot. This has brought up a dilemma.

Sentinels is a relatively new server, and I'm currently thinking of moving servers. While I want to do a few raids with my guild now that I'm almost 60, and I want to get BRD done, MC attunement, etc., I am tired of the drama I'm finding with the server's endgame crowd. It's no better than the crap that I saw from the endgame guilds from FFXI- another reason I ended up giving up on that damned game. I tend to find that RP servers seem to attract a more mature and laid back crowd, and I like that. However, I'm hesitant to move for two reasons: I doubt my r/l friends would move with me, and since Sentinels is a newer server, I'm wondering how much endgame content I will be able to do. I am a semi-casual player... I want to be able to do instances and raids once or twice a week, but since I get wife aggro, I can't dedicate specific dates & times (like Mon, Wed, Fri, Sat at 6p.m. every week). Ugh, the quandry.

On the upside, I got both my herbalism and alchemy above 250 this weekend, and potions are always needed.

Now I just have to make an executive decision!
