Dude you were right. I would have done the same. It might sound cruel to kick him right before the Kill but.. He deserved it! The funny thing is he was freaking begging you to join, and you were nice enough to let him in. Come on, he should have some respect. Those people that agreed with him are either dumb like him, or they just didnt understand. Yeah tell people about this on the main wow forums, also tell those guilds your story, if you are ignored general chat it in IF.

He definetely sounds like a jerk. People need to understand that real life really is more important than WoW. And sometimes we really CAN'T stay PLEASE an extra 5 minutes to finish this or that, because really it ends up being 25 and we don't have that time to spare.

a couple of months back i was doing a DM Tribute run with a couple of guildies and 2 pickups. i was expecting a plumber round to sort out the boiler at some point, but he had no idea when due to general plumbery-ness.
i'd let the guys know that i didn't know how long i was going to be around for before we got in and that i may need to go afk for a bit. they agreed with this and understood.
we get to the instance, take the first pull and ofcourse the plumber turns up all smiles. i apologised to my groupmates and said that i was going afk for 5 minutes to try and sort this out, they said they'd take a break too (i'm the tank).
so the plumber is looking over the boiler and decides he has to take it to bits (hooray) i come back and tell the group what's happening, that i've got a plumber round at the moment and that he's doing work and that i may have to go afk again at times and do they mind or do they want to do the instance another time, as i'll give em a hand with it if they shout. they all agree that its ok and they don't mind and we continue playing (with me sat in the other room watching the plumber through the door to make sure he doesn't steal anything not nailed down).
three more times i have to afk for about 5 minutes. each time i get back i apologise for this and ask if they want to continue on or stop for today, each time they say they want to continue. finally he leaves and i again apologise for what happened to the group, they admit that they're a bit annoyed with the interruptions but it gets turned into a joke of 'the longest tribute run ever' with overnight stays and parking involved. we complete the run successfully, have a nice load of loot waiting for us in the chest and generally dance around the ogres.
none of the guildies or the two pickups harboured any ill feelings about the matter, luckily they were in no rush to get elsewhere. however i feel that if i hadn't have been as polite as i was and hadn't explained the situation fully then i may have been suffering from similar abuse as yourself, simply for being an afk jerk.

I am Delf a lvl 60 druid on Arathor server Alliance side.Since i was in the incident described above from Gregory the Watcher (or Neoczar as is his char name) i will try tell "the other side" of the story.
I have to mention that the guy with which the whole thing happened is a guildy of mine but i will try to be as fair as i can be on both sides.And i also have to mention that the only reason made me post in here is that Gregory is skipping,altering,hiding (dont wanna say lying...)etc specific points of the "quite common" incident that happened.
So lets...and i think most of you will change your opinions after what i have to say...
So I'm gathering up a raid for UBRS, hoping for chromatic scales and the Chromatic carapace to drop. Of course, the less plate, the possible is always better for me, since any plate wearer rolls N as soon as he/she sees purple and plate.
So this paladin (I'm a paladin as well) whispers and begs to get in...etc. I let him in, and we head for the instance.
True..you starting gathering a raid to do your job at 3-4 am in the morning.Rule first:of course you want to do your job in there as most likely each and every one joining this but....since you are the leader and you need help remember to respect your raid members

Now as much as it concerns BoK firepower palas etc you know what i think?
i dont think this was the real reason for him to go on you.I justthink he was the first to notice your absence and the fact that you were the leader made this look even worst.This was a pick up raid so most ppl wouldnt care of what the rest are doing or if there even afk but some ppl maybe care more for teamwork and want things to be done as they should be.Afterall 4 am in the morning is not a nice time for wipes....
and also...so far you have played the part of the dungeon that chromatic scales drop...you go afk and then you return fom the plate drops at draggi.....excellent
I have to add that firepower was enough really and since you were afk so long (as mentioned from some in here) you could have leave raid as well.And i dont think you really focused at draggi.Afterall the fiancee was still there still.she could "break" your focus anytime again....

And all this while all others raid members wait for you 2 to finish and shut up to play draggi...enough mess already
