New Player ResourcesFollow

#1 Mar 06 2010 at 9:48 AM Rating: Decent

I am a new player and at first found it very difficult to find good information about EQ2. Zam was one of the first sights I found and therefore want to start a thread to help other new players find important web resources to help them get acclimated to EQ2.

Please post helpful links in this thread that provide new players information to help them get started in EQ2. As always respect others and keep this thread for this purpose. Thank you.

A few links that I have found very helpful.

General info:
http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/forums/list.m
http://www.tentonhammer.com/node/55343
http://eq2flames.com/

Crafting info:
http://eq2.eqtraders.com/articles/news_page.php

Mods:
http://www.eq2interface.com/

Sweet just found this: http://www.eq2links.com/

P.S. you will soon notice much of the info is out of date... however it still gives you an idea of how things work. Hint is to look at when it was originally posted before taking it as gospel.

LootDB

EQ2I

EQ2 Flames

EQ2 Traders Corner

EQ2 forums

MMOUI can be directly accessed from here so I won't link it, same with the Allas wiki.

This is pretty much a complete list, aside from the class specific sites. Although most of the class specific information can be found in the EQ2Flames forums, since the majority of the class specific websites aren't being supported any more. Also, TenTonHammer has shown it's true colors as a hype website on several occasions. If it isn't the great new thing, the content is quickly abandoned and becomes outdated.

EQ2I and Allas EQ2 wiki will have pretty much anything you're looking for as far as quests and general info. EQ2 Traders will cover everything TS related and EQ2Flames will cover the rest. With LootDB filling in item info on the odd drop, you have pretty much everything covered.

Linking to an already existing list, now that's just cheating.

This was the most important page that I found as a new player: Zone Connection Map (EQ2)
