So how many of you got caught out by the AA slider? I'd done about 20 quests before I noticed I wasn't earning combat xp...
For anybody who was capped at 80 and has not started on new expansion yet - make sure you change your slider on the AA page if you want to earn any combat/quest xp.
And a full AA respec too...

Not trying to toot my own horn (well, maybe a little), but checking my slider is the first thing I did after resetting my AA. But then, I haven't been 80 for two years like most people, so I guess that helped

I didn't, since I was already AA capped my slider was set to XP anyhow. I'm more intrigued by you got a full AA respec, it seems most people got one. I only got one for my Sub-class section (Summoner since I am a Necromancer). My Necromancer and TSO lines did not give me a free change...which is ok because I have those set how I wanted.
Things I sometimes play...
"What do you want to be when you grow up?"
"I want to be a unicorn!"
"Awww, why's that?"........
"So I can stab people with my face."

All of my AAs were reset.
LOL, I've been capped at 80 since before they put in the slider, so I had to search around for the slider for a while... I felt rather stupid when I found it in the AA panel... 
I had a full AA reset - 120 odd unspent AAs to assign. I didn't die, so must have made some right choices.
