Research Assistants BuggedFollow

Just a fair word of warning, there is currently an issue with Research Assistants. When a spell is finished, you go to the RA to claim your spell, and it vanishes (and no, I dont mean it scribes and people just don't notice). This is one of many threads on the official boards about it.

This is the /petition I sent in: "So, I just spent the last month researching "Undead Knight VII" from Expert to Master. I walk up to the RA to pick up my spell, since it sent me the in game mail that it was done. I click on the RA and there is NO spell to pick up, in fact my Undead Knight VII spell is still on the list to be researched AGAIN!

I really would love some quick in game support on this, please contact me as soon as possible. I have no desire to spend another 30 days trying to get that spell researched when there are many other spells I want to work on."

I rather quickly got this response from customer service: "We are currently experiencing issues with the completion of research spells and combat abilities. We are looking into getting this corrected as soon as possible. In the meantime, we do have higher than normal petition volume and appreciate your patience while awaiting a response."

So..the good news is that its been brought to SOE's attention by more then one person. The bad news is if you have any spells ready to be picked up, you may want to hold off on that.

And at least for me, that patch did work. Logged in this morning and my spell upgraded right away. Oh I'm going to have so much abusing testing out this new pet.

First you did the right thing. Do NOT restart it. You will have to /petition in game though and get added to the list of people they have to fix (I know, its a pita but it does work). The way I thread the response from the DEV was that lastnights hotfix was more for the people who had petitioned, and that an all inclusive will be done at a later time.

Upon logging in this morning, I did have my spell granted to me (and yes, I had already started researching another one yesterday since the devs said it would be fine). But per some conversation on my server (Everfrost), it seems like almost everyone had gotten their spell, except one individual who stated that they had not. I also advised him to petition.
