Good Afternoon, AllaK's - 5/7/09Follow

Good afternoon, happy campers.

As fate would have it, work had me up at 3 in the morning so I was actually able to get some play time in while waiting for some issues to shake out.

Logged in my main and headed out to Lavastorm for the first time since the Shadows content additions. Ran through the first few quests in the Ro line..got maybe 10% of an AA.

I'm getting the icky feeling that this whole Shadows thing isn't going away any time soon. Most expansions keep their content /in/ the expansions..this however..this reeks of Discord.EQ1. After the EQ1 Discord expansions, the discordian mobs and influence began permeating everything and were the focus of the game for a long time to come. I'm afraid we're going to see that here for a long while..like they're setting it up for the Void/Shadows to be our collective antagonists for the next couple years. :/ I think it's a neat storyline and I'm enjoying it to date, but if this starts to become like Discord 2.0, I think it could get old.

How was your evening?

Since my main's journal is completely full, trying to work on getting it down to at least 50 quests by the end of the week. Even those pesky gray quests. Every time I get down to a reasonable amount, I always pick up more quests. :P

My defiler has been working through the Gathering Obsession series, done Sinking Sands and ... got to Over-realm. No way for a solo L38! The rest of the series is gonna have to wait indefinately - I'm in no hurry to level up adventuring.

So... finished up the Moors crafting quests & did the weekly Mara faction quest for first time. There wasn't enough time to attempt the daily one solo, so swapped over to zerker & did a few rush orders to build up the jewellery skills.

Does anyone fancy doing a write up for Emergency Portal Repairs?


BTW, I'm loving my new PC :)
