A few play on AB, the rest of us stretch across them all. I myself am on Everfrost because thats where a friend of mine plays and I like grouping with her.

I did make a toon on AB though just to flirt with Stugien (***** cross server tells, its more fun to track him down and /flirt in person).

Yeah, I started digging through MMORPG's EQ2 forums and some of this forums threads, to see where the majority of you all are, and decided to make a Mystic on AB. Really enjoying the game as is, and with my new GTX 260, the game looks fantastic!!!

The population on AB is rather massive, however there is a fair amount of non-rp'ers due to the fact that it was the first server listed.

Can you reccomend a good rp heavy server? I am curious to try and after reading about roleplaying I am very interested. Also I am enjoying mystic but they aren't very good dos wise. Any recommendations as far as good dps, and soloabilty, but doesn't have a hard time finding groups? And I also plan on tradeskilling.

Antonia Bayle actually.

Despite it all I think it has the highest RP population as well.

And how about a suggestion on classes? Like I said, I have a Mystic that I just started, and will play until level 20, just trying to get a feel for it, but the leveling is slow. Can you recommend a class that has better soloability *and yes, I know all classes can solo until end game, but some do better than others*, good dps, and is usually seeked for grouping? Or if there is a shortage of tanks/healers on AB? If anyone knows, the information would be appreciated.

Well, first off I need to know a few things.

First off, what was it that made you try mystic first? And what is it, other than slow leveling that you do not like about it?

Have you played other MMO's before, if you have what was/were they and what kind of charecter class did you enjoy in them?

EQ:
I played every class, but BST and Necros to 50's+

WoW:
I played a Warlock until 80, and did instances with it, and a Death Knight to 74 before quitting. Some other alts I played til 40+ were Druids and Hunters.

And LoTRO I played a champ and a Guardian until 10 before I got bored.

As far as the Mystic, it's just slow DPS, and I had a hard time killing white, no ^ or down arrow, mobs.

If you want to increase your DPS but stay a healing type and on the good side you may want to try a Fury.

Necromancers are similar to Warlocks from WoW in key ways. Both are pet classes that make heavy use of DoT's

On the evil side you have a Difiler, little lighter on the heals but a bit heavyer on the damage.

Yes, while I played my Warlock until 80, I didn't get enjoyment from constantly using DoT's. How about a suggestion for a melee class? Also, I may just do a Fury, or stick with the Mystic a bit more to see if it picks up a bit.

Again, I would still like to know why you picked mystic originaly before I can really narrow it down, more so since you have played a very wide range of classes

Ahh a good melee class eh?

My first reaction is to tell you Shadowknight, decent dps, armor and the ability to life tap make it a good choice in many situations, however that can also work against it, due to having so many ways you can build it.

If you do not want to be a tank any of the scout classes are good, and with the ability to track you can more easily find the kind of mob you are looking for.

Are you going to be Good or evil and do you plan on solo'ing or grouping as much as you can?

This would also change what I suggest in this regard.

The reason why I choose a Mystic is due to the fact that I played on in EQ1 for a brief time I believe up to 48, sorry I forgot to mention that, and thought that a Mystic would be a close resemblance to the EQ shammy. I do plan to solo more, but will group when needed, or if people are on a quest I put off on hold. Tanking doesn't bother me much, but I am not good at it, and I looked into a Shadowknight, but it didn't strike me as a appealing. Also, from what I read scout classes have a bit more difficult time soloing, and while I don't mind the challenge, I can't also dedicate hours at a time to level, often.

Then my suggestions are narrowed down to two then.

If you want to stay on the good side, as suggested by you mystic, try a Fury insteed.
If you do not mind going evil of some flavor then a defiler may work for you as well.

Both are more agressive classes that still retain healing abilities.

They will also make it easy to pick up the odd group when you dont want to solo due to the fact they can heal.

Hope it works out for you and you like it

If not there are still several classes in healer core type you can try.

I actually liked my Mystic more, due to wards and stuff. Other than ports, my Fury was just "eh".

Its all about your play style.

Ive tried other classes but by far SK's are my favorit.

However Ive also tired to keep up with the basic concepts of the other classes, for reasons like above.

sorry to hear that, I rarely encounter lag issues on AB, and im running on a quality setting

Might I suggest a Paladin?

They can heal well enough for soloing. (Don't expect them to heal the group though.)

They are a fighter, though, so DPS is higher than the mystic. And if you play it well, they CAN tank, and keep aggro, if you should wish to group.

My main is a Paladin, and I usually solo. I have never had a problem soloing anything, unless, of course, it was ^^^ or EpicX2 or higher.

Lucan D'Lere is turning out to be a good server. Lots of people and a good amount of RP'ers (for you who like that).

I think the Templar is the superior of all healers personally. Mystic is good though, yeah.

I'm running on 2 gigs of ram and 512 mb on my video card and have my settings set to Performance over Quality... But I still have lag for some reason. ><
