I've been away from Everquest 2 for a few months. Ever since the last expansion, the new tradeskill additions to the game has been really confusing and overwhelming. I have a level 80 carpenter (I was able to get to 80 before the last expansion), but not sure where to go after this. Does anyone have any information? Thanks. :)

No doubt Calthine can chime in with more detailed info but the place you want to go is the Isle of Mara (from the Fallen Dynasty pack). There is an outpost there where you can start doing the new crafting questline and grind out some crafting status.

well, I'm not too sure what all you've accomplished or not, so I will just start from the beginning.

if you haven't done it already, there is the Epic tradeskill questline (yes, came out shortly after RoK, but I'm not too sure when exactly you left). if you want/need more information about this, just ask

as for what came out with TSO, head to Moors of Ykesha, and look for a small little person named Aymee. she will start you on the quest Ship Out which will take you to a few places around the Moors doing a bit of crafting 4 times (5 crafts each time, assuming you get "pristine" each craft), and a bit of gathering (2 locations). after you've finished Ship Out, you can head to the Isle of Mara. there is a daily tradeskill Mission (group oriented, but can be done solo if you have the time. total of 12 crafts from each of the 9 tradeskill classes for a total of 108 crafts) and a weekly solo mission. The daily mission, along with awarding you a small amount of coin (about 15g), improved faction with the Far Seas Supply Division, and a Far Seas Token, will also drop a chest at the completion. this chest can contain a variety of things: a piece of jewelery, another Far Seas Token, a recipie book for Void Shard armor/weapons/jewelery/symbols/etc, and/or a T8 rare. The Far Seas Tokens can be used to purchase more jewelery, armor, mounts (jewelery, armor, and mounts all crafter oriented goodies), or recipie books from a guy in Mara once you have a high enough faction with the Far Seas Supply Division.

also, there are daily tradeskill quests for each of the different factions in Moors (you will be introduced to them when you do Ship Out): Survival Accord, Grobb, and Tupta. once you get your faction high enough with them, you will be able to purchase even more goodies (like faction specific recipies).

Hope all this helps you some, and if you have more questions just ask. us crafters gotta stick together.

I'll have to look it over.. Aside from having fun going to any new dungeons and finding new Mystic gear, I'll have to make new stuff for my houses.
