So, now that there is info on all the zones in the game...Follow

...how do they get filled in?

I know the old EQ2 Zam took in content submissions, is that still going to be the same, or how will that information be gathered? As it stands, a lot of content is missing from the database. An example would be the instances that have NPCs in them, but there are no NPCs listed there. I can't think of one off-hand but I am sure I could find one. Droprate and stuff is solid though, on existing items.

Also, if this belongs in the feedback thread, feel free to merge it in.

The basic data should all be automatic now. We're still missing a few things but actively working with SOE to get them, if it's missing now we should have it really soon.

Meanwhile, we'll take info all the ways we used to. Comments, via the wiki, via the forum, or PM me. The picture uploads and such all work the same as they used to.

Absolutely feel free to continue contributing. The feed from SOE is fabulous and all. But, it doesn't replace the knowledge shared by players including strategies, locations, and more! It just compliments that information. :)

Agreed, just because SoE says that something should work this way dosent mean its the best way to do it.

That kind of info comes from the combined playtimes of sereral players that could end up in the tens of thousands of hours.

SoE says you can do it this way, but we know its better if you do it THIS way.

Well, the SOE info doesn't say stuff like "All the mobs here see invis, hug the east wall and pray!"

There's actually some room for improvement on how we interpret the data we're getting from SOE. If you find things which are clearly wrong, please let us know asap. the data we have isn't soe saying "this mob drops these items, xxx times out of yyy". We have the raw game data, and try to build up a web based interpretation of what the game servers do.

we appreciate all feedback on the accuracy of the data.
