some items i have found indicate they "will probably be more valuable to a collector of artifacts". is there a special person that is a collector that would gimme more money? i reside in neriak.

That means that they're not for anything specific, and will probably sell well to a vendor. I don't think it matters what vendor, as long as they like you.

i sell everything thru the broker or the status merchant in neriak.

totally changing the subject, i believe the shadowknight to be the best character type for quick advancement, due to its combo of group strikes, knockdowns, spells and recoveries. is there another char type similar in sheer range? what type(s) do YOU find superior and why?

Yeah, that is vender trash.

Now keep in mind if it has the word Amulet, scrying stone, document or idol in its name, that IS a status item and can be sold to certian venders in certian cities and guild halls for a reward of personal status, and maybe even give your guild a little [ 10% ] stats as well if it is high enough in level.
