it seemd like i get network error please check connections n try again with dsl on vista with this game n ffxi i canhow ever to connect on my 360 on ffxi but not my pc i used to be able to on xp anyone have any suggestions for vista?

Sounds like vista or perhaps your firewall is blocking either outgoing or incoming conenctions from the internet. I use zonealarm so turned the vista firewall off (still get the annoying pop up remainders though).
If you use otherfirewall software, best to check that too.

If its not already, make sure UAC is disabled. That was the only issue I really ran into. Like the other poster said make sure to check that if you use another firewall its set to allow EQ2 access.
