*shrug* It doesn't really matter to me.:13 (16.2%)

I wish I could vote twice. I'm torn between "Easy Button" and "Balance the classes to solo".

Honestly, compared to Eq1 the xp in this game so much easier to come by. Maybe it's because the quests themselves aren't cryptic, you don't have to search for what to type to an NPC, hell you can visually see which NPC's have quests for you.

Then there are collections. Could this game be any easier to get xp in? For reference, we have a guildy who honestly wines about getting xp in this game. I laugh at him every time he makes a comment about it, as I remember sitting in a zone in EQ1 for days trying to get one simple level.

I voted "Easy Button". Just my 2 cents.

truthfully, I don't care. I can solo effectively on all my toons (yes, even on my healers, just have to take a different approach hehe). but my friend was always complaining about how quickly I tended to level. now I'm leveling even faster, so he hates me more hehe. honestly it doesn't matter much to me. but there is so much to see and do that I kind of wish they would SLOW DOWN the xp gain, rather than speed it up. but that's me.

EQ2 is now easier to level in than WoW, it's got to the point that i run out of level before i've complete half the quests I want to do.

The wife is experimenting with turning off combat Xp totally from lvl 20 in an effort to still be doing green quests while you are feeling out a zone.

I was hitting grey on my Everfrost quests before I even hit the second area and thats not good!

Hell i gained 75% of lvl 52 running the Haunted mansion event twice without vitality.

I think it's awesome, I didn't like soloing with my 35 assassin, it was boring and took a long time.

With the xp patch I went back to it to try and get to level 70 at least so I can start grouping with people.

I see what people mean about it's too easy and it's a valid point, if there was a healthy community at lower levels like maybe 3 years ago then i'd say don't put that xp patch in so we can all group and enjoy the game.

The reality is that at lvl 30-40 theres about 10-30 people online and a lot of them are doing stuff like crafting, making it real difficult to get a party going and getting decent xp.

I think it's a much needed step to give new players the leverage to get up with the people capped so they can start grouping again.

If you're in a decent guild you can always get those people who are over level 40 to mentor Smiley: schooled. So its not as if you can't get groups in the 30's.

I could care less, personally.

I've got a 3+ year old account, my main just dinged level 60. I've quested, Tradeskilled, grouped, solo'd, am part of a very large guild, raid weekly and I've never hit the Stop button on experience gain before or after the change.

You really have to grind in order to zoom to 80 before you miss out on the content. I'm living proof.

If one grinds, then you are correct. But, those complaining are obviously not grinding levels.

I haven't missed a single ounce of content, barely got more than the AA cap, and have never locked exp. And, in 3 years, still don't have a single character at level 80. Go figure.

If by grinding you mean pick up all the quests in the zone and kill the mobs for the quests then yeah I grind.

For the rest of the MMO world that isn't grinding thats playing.

My fury is Lvl 55.

I have never been in Ferrott.
I have never been in lavastorm
I have only barely touched TS.
I have deleted 100's of grey quests.
I dinged 54-55 in three quests only yesterday, in less than 3 hours.

If your interested it was the Giant quest line, the kill XX bears and kill XX tundra terrors.

Conincidently my main alt in WoW is 55 and 54-55 took me 20+ hours and 20+ quests/questlines.

My wife turned her Assasin's Xp off at lvl 45 because she wanted to finish off her grey quests. she's now 48 still has all grey quests. LEVELING IS TOO EASY!

I agree with Baron von Tarv (on the crafting side). I am working on leveling up a provisioner. With rested vitality, I can literally earn a level in every 30-40 minutes. That's without using any additional exp potions. The provisioner just dinged 60 and I plan to have him to 70 by the time the expansion comes out. With minimal playtime.

The only adventuring grind that I have come across in eq2 was the leveling up from 70-80 in Kunark. Even though 99% of the exp was earned by turning in 100's of quests, it was just horrbile for me for some reason. A lot of people loved it but it didn't float my boat.

I started a new character a few weeks ago and rehashed the Queen's colony for giggles. I was level 10 in about 30 minutes of playtime. I had grey quests in my quest log. That's a bit absurd. I was leveling so fast that I completly missed like half of the spells for the ranger.

I did lvl's 1-7 in 12 minutes with a Warlock the other day starting outside Neriak.

Then realised I had rolled it on the wrong bloody server Smiley: oyvey

While i do agree the xp needed to be tweaked somewhat the way SOE have gone about it is madness, they may as well give you a toon to start with at say level 60 becuase even if you dont grind i find it hard not to level just by doing quests.

So for me they hit the easy button with this change.
