I am unsure of WHY I got them (not that I'm complaining) but does fulfilling something give you one or do they just come at certain levels? (and if so what are they)

I also have another problem I can't figure out. I completed "The Great Challenge" (getting to level 20 in 14 days) yet it didn't give me anything or acknowledge it. 10 gold would come in pretty handy right now. What did I forget?

I'll answer the easy one first.

"The Great Challenge" awards you a title for your character, either "Knight of D'Lere" for evil toons, or "Knight of Bayle" (I beleive) for good. Plus the gold which you know about.

AA: You get them from discovering new areas, killing named NPCs that you can get experience from, and also from doing quests. (You may also get them the first time you loot certain items).

Ok here is the tricky thing, AA's affect your character class. For example I am a necromancer, so I can put AA's into my damage over time spells, or into my effect spells such as root, stun, etc. Now it gets more complex. Each spell is in a certain "Tree" if you will. You will notice under the spell description it may say something like "Manipulation", or "cure", depending again on your class. If you spend 20 points in that tree you can then buy the spell at the very bottom (it will NOT have any lines connecting to it, but be underneath the spells in that tree).

A necromancer that puts 20 points into his "Manipulation" line will be granted the Prefix "Cabalist" and also the added benefit of having all of his/her manipulation spells cast a heal on their pet for 18% of its total health. (Very handy since its better then the actual necro pet heal, and player heals we get).

Hope that didn't confuse you too much.

The Great Challenge quest I completed but its not unlocking for some reason. Am I supposed to talk to someone specific or is it just supposed to do something

The Great Challenge quest is known for being very buggy amongst the player base. Assuming that you've met the qualifications for completing the quest, you need to bring your situation up with a monitor. The command "/petition" will open up an escalation window that will let you create a case file. Simply explain that your quest hasn't completed itself even though you've filled it's criteria.

I guess a lot of people have to petition to get this quest to work. It's not just you.

Did you check your Persona window to see if you have a new title? I think it's the Details tab? (I can never remember, and I'm at work - can't check).

Thanks I didn't even know the "petition" thing existed. I sent one hopefully they respond. I'm assuming they are slow to respond?

Depends on a lot of stuff, like how deep the queue is, how the "triage" is, and how long it takes them to research your situation. I usually hear back within a day.

LOL. I've always had pretty good customer service from SOE. But your mileage may vary.

There is no quest npc, you get the quest automatically upon rolling a new character, if your account is a returning account that is.
