New to EQ, and i've tried a lot of classes and narrowed it down to Brigand/Berserker/Bruiser, i solo most games i play but do group up now and then,
out of the three the berserker seems more me with the plate armor and good damage, but i don't want to be a tank.
I just wanna deal and take damage and servive.
Which one suits my style at later lvl?
i wont ask about race coz it's Ogre all the way:)

Well if you don't want to tank, certainly don't pick the 'zerker. That's what he is. The bruiser is a tank too, though avoidance based...it won't be as often but you will be asked to tank as a bruiser as well from time to time. Of the options your best best is the brig. You won't be able to take a hit as well as the 'zerker, but that's the trade off. You can't expect to play a class designed to tank and not be asked to tank when you are in a group.

So if i don't wanna tank in groups then brig is best, can i go all the way to 80 solo or will i need to group to get decent gear?

Depends on how you define "decent gear".

You will be able to buy anything anyone else can, so you could have mastercrafted armor and weapons. In addition, you will be able to acquire gear from drops and quests that will stand up to most anything you would want to tackle solo or in a small or full group.

You won't have access to the really high end gear - i.e the gear drops in raids and in the best instances but if you don't go there, you don't really need gear from there, eh?

Bottom line is yes, you can solo to lvl 80 and when you get there you should have very respectable gear... maybe not the best, but very good.
