Checking back into EQ2Follow

#1 Jun 06 2008 at 1:56 PM Rating: Decent
So the promotion that Sony's running has me checking back into EQ2 after a couple years... wow, it's changed a lot, and for the better, I think!

The embarrassing part is, I don't remember *anything* - is there a good player's guide out there that someone can point me to? I'm also looking for a helpful list of zones based on character levels (so I know where to go next).

Thanks for the help!

Great wiki here.. and there is always the official forums too. If you have any specific questions not answered in either place feel free to ask here. :)

I have the happy secret zone by level link: http://eq2.allakhazam.com/db/zonelist.html?chart=1

We also are working on (definitely a work in progress) cataloging quest series in a way we were unable to do prior to the wikibase. Like Qeynos Villages Quest Series or Antonica Quest Series

What server are you playing on and are you playing good or evil characters?

I think you'll find that leveling from the ground up is much easier now than it was at launch. Also that the game is very solo friendly and that there are many more places for you to level no matter what class/race you choose.

Specifically, the zone guides here are as good as any you'll find anywhere but if you have specific questions, give us the details and we'll all try to help you get reacclimated.

Welcome back and feel free to ask us any "dumb" questions that come to mind! :)

I've also started up again, and started a new HE Pally on Blackburrow since i couldn't remember anything.

I only really wanted EQ but once i had looked around i think EQ2 might provide a nice foil for when i burn myself out on WoW.

I'll recommend to returning players, if it's been a long time, roll a new toon! 'Cause a lot has changed since the Olde Dayes, most for the better :)

What's your character's name Tarv? Or did you tell me and I forgot (likely).

Also, /join asylum and say howdy!

Scarily enough i had a char already on Blackburrow and it was auto connected to /asylum.

Started a new Pally called Jarkeld, once i have got off the newbie island and sorted myself out i will be in touch.

The wife is playing SWG atm and enjoying it so we might share a Sation account between us or bothe get one, since i'm leaving the forces I have enough time to have two casual games, which suits me because i don't ever want to be a hardcore player again, if i ever was.

I did the above last weekend. I had a blast leveling my Sarnak SK up. Very good idea!

Awesomeness!

I sincerely believe that if you've been gone more than a year or so logging into your old toon will just frustrate you, not just because of the many improvements, but that somewhere in your head you think you know how to play it and you probably don't, lol.
