I cant get my account going on the Living Legacy thingie...Follow

Hello all,

I am refering to: http://eq2.allakhazam.com/wiki/Living_Legacy_World_Event

I havent played since right after the EoF release and got an email saying i can come back and play for free for two months...

But I cant seem to reactivate my account for free... no matter what I try. On my subscriptions page EQ2 has a "Closed" by it, but SWG has "Pending"... I havent played SWG in a LONG time... nor do I wish to again.

Everytime I input my ID/pass into the main eq2 station page it acts like I never entered it because the "Login" link is still up top... like I never Logged in... it has always been picky for me, and I have tried using several browsers to rememdy it...

Anyone know why I cant get back into the game for free?

Still unclear if I have to "resubscribe" and pick the $14.99/month plan to get free playtime til the offer ends or if I should be able to just log on to somewhere and click "I want to be back!!" somewhere.

Their new FAQ really doesnt touch on how to get back in, and I still cant login to their forums or any Station page... except my account page. All other pages act like I never put in my user id/pass.

I would really like to play again to see what has changed, but this is making me not want to try too hard.

You should just be able to log in and play, if your account qualifies it's flagged. If you choose to resubscribe you won't be billed until the end of the promo period. To test this I'm gonna log into an old dusty second account.

Edit: Yep that's it. Just fire it up and go play! No need to do anything to your account.

Re-edit: I notice in the KB something about accounts "in good standing".. wonder if the "Pending" has something to do with it. If just firing up the game doesn't work, I'd call Billing Support.

I tried just logging in before I came to post here. It tells me I dont have an active subsciption, but I know for a fact that my account was in good standing when I left, and I havent had an open account since LAST summer.

It tells me that I dont have a EQ2 subsciption. Then when I hit OK. It tell me to register EQ2.

When I go into my account page at the Station place I can see that I have EQ2 (along with some of the expansion packs) registered, so I am unsure what I would need to register.

sent them an email... will let you know what is up tomorrow if they answer back that quickly.

Hopefully you've already got this taken care of, but I can tell you what worked for me.

I went to Station and it was showing that I had a pending subscription. I went through the steps like I was going to add a brand-new subscription and verified all of my payment information. Once I confirmed the payment info it switched my account back to active and I was able to play the game again.

Oh... and...

Ugh...

Still no clue what is going on...

Here are the two TSRs I talked to about the situation.


TSR Nick M.:Hi, my name is TSR Nick M.. One moment please, while I read your question.
TSR Nick M.: Do you remember your old account name?
You: yes, it was *******
TSR Nick M.: I see that you have all the expansions flagged on your account.
You: Yeah, except the RoK one. I havent played since last June.
TSR Nick M.: I will escalate your issue to tier 2 for further investigation.
TSR Nick M.: I see that your account is still closed.
TSR Nick M.: They will contact you back soon after investigating your issue.
You: Yeah, still closed, I didnt think i needed to reopen it to do the Legacy thing
You: Will I hear back today... or will I have to wait til next week? My email is still the same as it was last year.
You: Plus my subscription page is showing SWG as a pending subscription even though i havent played it in like two years.
TSR Nick M.: May I know your account name?
You: the account name or the name on the account?
TSR Nick M.: I apologize, that message was not intended for you.
TSR Nick M.: Michele, I can not tell you any exact time .

You: After I try to login it tells me I dont have a EQ2 subscription.
You: When... according to others it should let me play for free (without reopening my subscription), as in... log straight in because of the Living Legacy event.

You: for some odd reason on my subscription page it says my SWG subscription is "pending" even though I havent played, or paid for, it for like two years.
You: I can tell you my real name, birthdate, security question, CC# and anything else, if need be.
TSR - Jordon S: I can see that your issue regarding living legacy plan is already escalated to our supervisor by Nick M.

You: Yeah, but do you know why it isnt letting me do what I should be able to do? I cant be the only one experiencing this.
TSR - Jordon S: I understand your problem, this might be a technical issue.
You: I have the urge to play EQ2 today and this weekend... if it takes til Monday or Tuesday to get an answer my eagerness might not be that high anymore.
You: This has been going on since about 6pm (here) last night... I have posted on the forums and everything. Another TSR said I should be able to resolve it using the live chat.
TSR - Jordon S: Unfortunately, we do not have a current ETA regarding this issue. Rest assured we are working on it. We apologize for the inconvenience.
You: The first TSR I tried (I got DCed) to talk to on live chat actually was asking me questions regarding my real name and my security answer and last 4 digits of the CC, but you and Nick never asked me any of that.

TSR - Jordon S: Your issue is related to living legacy, is that right?
You: Yes.
You: i have read and reread that site, and I did get the email from the mailing list about the promo. I have done everything it said to do, but for some reason the game wont recognize me as being "available for it" since I cant just log on.
TSR - Jordon S: I told you earlier that this issue is caused by some technical problem and your issue is escalated to our Tier 2 support team. They are currently looking into this and it'll be resolved soon.
You: Someone actually said that since the Star wars Galaxies subscription said pending (even though i havent played/paid for about two years) it might have locked me out of the Living Legacy promo
You: Ok, I guess I will just have to wait and hope for an email tonight. TSR - Jordon S: Is there anything else I can assist you with today?

Very Very disheartening.... I want to play NOW. Not next week when someone decides to get around to me.

Michele: ******* is my station account name, and I believe it was my SWG account name too. It's been awhile since i played it.

Michele: how did that happen? I havent even wanted to play that for a long time.
TSR Nick M.: We have closed your account now.

Michele: If SWG is trail active then maybe that is why the EQ2 Living legacy thing isnt working for me because it is seeing me as an active player... when I am not.
TSR Nick M.: No.
TSR Nick M.: This can not be the reason.
Michele: Hmm. ok.
TSR Nick M.: I think we have already discussed this in chat before.
Michele: Yeah, but I was curious why SWG was showing up as pending... weird.
