I got a burynai seeker as a pet from an expansion bonus. The examine screen says to feed him fertilizer treasure. I have a decaying bone plant food item but don't know how to feed him. There's not a feed command on the bone or the critter. Anybody?

Just like the plant you need one of each of the trio of plant foods to feed him (at least one bone, one compost/fertilizer, one water). Once you have all three in your inventory his "feed" option should show up.

Item for item (pound for pound?) feeding the seeker gives you a much better return on your investment then feeding the plant.

The seeker will give you collectables and will often cough up a nice rare while the plant more often than not gives you bits of rotten food and stale drink or various other items you can't use or don't really need...

Seriously, when I first heard about the seeker house pet I thought "Finally! I'll be able to actually use all those bone/water/fertilizer drops I've been saving!"

I'm lazy and still just vendor sell every bone/water/compost I get. I'm not motivated enough for shinies.

I throw all the components on my broker, unpriced. When I have enough, I feed the seeker.

Your loss my friend! On more than a few occasions, my Burynai has coughed up T7 & T8 rares as well as rare racial bones each of which has sold for well over a plat!

Personally, I am never to busy to make some easy money!
