are servers down today? im loading the game to character select and everything seems to be working alright but as soon as i chose my character to log in, i start loading and then the game quits. i haven't changed computers and yesterday it was working alright, so is this sony's problem or do u think that something might have accured in my hardware while i was gone?
the message i am getting when the game quits is log in rejected invalid username or pass.. but like i said i can log into the account and pick the character i want to play just fine. that message doesn't pop up until i am loading zones

ill be patient i just tried the other pc and logging in and im getting the same thing, so i dont think it is my pc. if anyone else has gotten this problem and has any suggestions let me know. for now im just going to try to change the password on the account and see if it fixes.
I have a bunch of friends who are raiding today and I spoke to them mid instance so no, I think the issue is with your account.

i went to bed and just woke up now and tried it again. now i no longer get the message about the invalid log in , it just constantly shuts off after loading, on both pc's , different video cards. im going to have to call tomorrow. i wish i thought about that before now.
Do a full file scan, as long as you're waiting to call. Couldn't hurt.

Same problem. I actually have logged two toons today. But the game crashed in between and after signing off the second time I am now unable to get back on. The launchpad is sending me to char select which is missing half my toons and then when I try to log it is just quitting to desktop. What is a full file scan?

i called and they are looking into it.. at the moment they are telling me it is my system, so i have to run a dxdiag file and send it to them. i had to send 3 since i use 3 computers...i cant just use one account, ill get bored. ive never had problems like this before ever since the game came out, so im pretty sure it is on SOE's side but im waiting for this to resolve. im sorry fay you are having problems too.. i can't even let u know what the problem is yet. at least u have logged into your characters.. so far i can only get to character select and as soon as i chose one, or try to make a new one, it boots me off after loading zone.

Hmm, I am having the same problem today. When I first got to the character select screen, it said the servers were down. About 3 seconds later, that went away, so I I tried to login. Some message pops up for about 1/4 of a second, too fast to read, then eq goes away.
According to the server status page, all servers are up. Wish I could provide some insight into how to fix this, but all I can tell you is that you are not alone.

im on the phone now with the hot line, they are also getting the same exact message as we are so it is not us =) bonus!
ill keep you updated, the tech is now getting his senior tech to help with this so if they do tell me anything that i can do to fix this on my part, ill relay the message to u.

yeah sorry, if you are having the same problems u will have to call it in. there's nothing for us to do personally. they told me that the account should be up within an hour hopefully and they will send me the confirmation in the email. you will get credit to your account for as many days as it has been going on.
