Should I even try at this point? Is everyone so preoccupied with end game content that newbies are SOL?

I'm getting so bored of WoW....

nah. There's enough players in the lower end, not to mention lots of alts out there. The other cool factor is that higher level players can mentor down and play with low level characters once they hit lvl 10. So even those of us at the end can still group up with you from time to time.

I'm still seeing some low levels out there, Neph. Quite a few people picked up EQ2 for the first time when Kunark came out.

I restarted about a week ago. The starter areas aren't overpopulated by any means but I see a few people here and there.

Also, I play during off hours so I would assume the prime hours are decently populated.

It should be more than possible. Also take into account that the first ten or fifteen levels are all pretty much on your own anyway. Still, for the really social players, there are always some new players or lots of alts out there too, even at that level.

And you get the entire game, all expansions and adventure packs, for the price of only the latest expansion, Rise of Kunark. So if you get that one, you'll have access to it all, very handy and cheap.

so then get your butt over to EQ2. All I hope is that your pc can handle it. It's a little more rough than WoW is, but if you can see the graphics, I personally think it's worth it. Blackburrow server, type /join asylum and put me on your friends list :Faiille. That's 2 i's 2 L's. I'll most definitely be on Sat/Sun evening. And I know Johnny and Nadenu are there fairly often

I've got a 20-something character on Blackburrow, Neph. And it really wouldn't take you long to get a character or two up to that level.

My advice is to start a Sarnak or a neutral character that can start in Timorous Deep (Kunark). Really good newbie quests there and the rewards are a lot better than the original starting areas. Of course, if you're set on creating a good character, you can't start in that area.

Ahh, but if they made a good character they could go to QH-->SS-->BBM-->Gorowyn :P but i guess thats not the point...and you SHOULD enjoy the game unless you hate being a newbie again...then...you are SOL :P

I know what you were looking for. But as a woman, I must honor my gender and zag when you expect zig once in awhile. Smiley: cool Besides, isn't that what your wife is for?
