Everytime I quit wow...Follow

I head to EQ2 but I always end up back in WoW. I am playing a 70 spriest right now. my 7th level 70.(Yes alot of time) My eq character isn't past 34. I am currently getting the urge to open my eq2 account and try to play a bit again but haven't completely fallen for the idea yet. I haven't played since sometime last year. anything new that would be fun? I play on "Lucan D'lere" which is a roleplaying server and found it kinda hard as a troubadore to have fun so I get bored of the game. groups were scarce.

All this being said; The maturity of the masses in WoW are what drive me back to eq2. The UI and content of eq2 and having no friends there or real guild to make friends is what drives me back to WoW...

Should I be looking for another server if I was to come back?(for more of a population) Anyone have any constructive opinions? I would love to stick to one game.

If you want a high population server you should just pick one that is listed as high population. The Kunark expansion has been released since you last played probably. However it is for the most part only good for lvl 56+ players and it seems to be more solo then group content. I found grouping became even more of a chore after Kunark came out because there is so many solo quests that earn you faction towards various tribes, cities, etc.

If your starting from scratch you can do the newbie island in Kunark to about 20. It actually has some good rewards. Otherwise nothing majorly new that I know of.

another thing to do that will help make it more fun, is to find a guild very soon. Any kind of guild that sounds good to you. Dont worry about raiding guilds until later. But if you want to make friends, a guild is a great way to do it. It's also a great way to find groups. I know I tend not to get into PUGS and would rather group with guildies because I know them.

There are a lot of newer players coming to the table with ROK out. It should be a bit easier than in the past to find some lower level toons to play with.

The maturity factor of the EQ2 players is on average, higher than that of WOW> I've played both games quite a lot and I always pine for the more mature players whenever I pop on WoW. In fact, I started up WoW a few weeks back after a long sabbatical popped on, and logged right off after 10 minutes in one of the cities.

As for UIs, you can really personalize them just like you can in WoW. In fact, I had a UI for awhile that was like the WoW default in EQ2. The one that most people I know use is Profit Reborn. I use that one myself and could never go back to the default.

Good luck with your decision. If you have any questions just ask.
