Noob over here getting frustrated as hellFollow

#1 Apr 13 2008 at 11:26 AM Rating: Decent
Man the first thing is I can't even get on the EQ2 forum. For some reason it doesn't let me create a thread or reply even though I'm logged in my station name.

But the most important thing is. I can't even start the damn game. I have the retail version, and when ever I press on the "Play" button my screen goes black for a sec and my mouse cursor changes to the EQ2 one, but then...it goes back to my desktop.

I tried looking around the EQ2 forums for an answer but I can't find what im looking for and I can't even ask in the damn forum.

Can anyone help me with my technical problem or atleast tell me why I can't post in the EQ2 forum :(

Help is greatly appreciated.

Not an expert on this but try right clicking the eq2 icon on your desk top and start the game by selecting "run as administrator" see if that helps.

do you have a firewall set up that may be blocking the game?

as for why you can't post on the eq2 forums...

i'm not certain. it is possible that you can only post in the newbie forum. it's also possible that your account isn't activated?

If your video card isn't supported it could cause that to happen. Not sure why you can't get in the SOE forums though. You could try to e-mail or call them for help but SOE technical support isn't known for being all that great.
