Hello guys,
I am downloading the free trial as I type this and want to ask a few questions.
I am a 6 year vet of EQ 1 and need a change. I really dislike WoW and want to test out EQ 2. Are there many "control" differences between EQ1 and EQ2? Sometimes figuring out how to manuver thorugh the screens and hot buttons can take some time to learn.
Also, when eq1 started off, they had racial/ class EXP penalties and bonuses. Are there any in EQ 2. I don't really want to start really liking a class only to find out it has a 25% penalty.

hello and welcome to EQ2. To answer your questions, you can configure your keyboard layout and commands any way you wish through the options (Alt O). I do believe though, that you can default your settings to what EQ1 uses, in order to help you adjust better.
As for racial penalties, nope. Any race can be any class and one is not better/worse than any other. You have a lot more freedom in this game to truly customize your character to the way you want it.
