Scout SpellsFollow

I am trying to decide what tradeskill to follow - I've been putting it off for 50 lvls, so its time I got on with it. Anyway, my dilemma is this: I am a dirge, and I want to craft dirge art upgrades, but from the info I can find, Jewllers make scout Combat Art upgrades, and Sages make mage/priest spell upgrades. Scouts ( or at least Dirges) use both combat arts AND spells, but if a jeweller makes scout Combat Art upgrades, what tradeskill makes scout Spell upgrades? Or do Scout spells count as Combat Arts?
