#1 Mar 26 2008 at 11:43 AM Rating: Decent
ok so i was at the store saw a very basic generic EQ II game for like 15bucks andfigured why not i was getting bored of playing final fantasy xi after over 3 years and wanted to attempt somthing new without commiting a bunch of money cos most things i try 0out dont last long..

lol anyway......

i got it last weel and LOVE it ,

so heres my small issues...

i spent time getting my 2 char to lvl 10 each and a BUNCH of quests only to realize i should have been collecting achivment points from the quests but since i have only a basic version of the game it says 0/000 earned .. * tear * is there a way to recover points form thing i already did if i get the expansions or should i just start over with another char after i get them?

also... anyone know of a place i can get the expansions? lol i feel retarded but searched the net adn only place i found it dowload able so i dont have to wait days to get it put me on a hold list since my e mails are considered a free e mail they ave to varify or w/e for who knos how long... * Grr *

so yea um... i rly rly wanna play but dunno if im just wasting my time now that i know this is somthing i will rly get into

ps... Thanx ahead of time for any helpful response and sorry for rambling soo very badly * giggle *

You can't get AA until you're level 10, so no worries there. There's *lots* of AA, don't stress it.

The best package to get is Rise of Kunark, which has absolutely EVERYTHING. It's about $40. You can purchase it online from the Station Store or D2D. Be ready for a long patch time, as there had been a metric tonne of content added to the base game. I mean lots. Like, get it going overnight. (You'd have a huge patch regardless of whether you bought digital or hard copy, the game is constantly growing).

Ya when you DDL something it auto patches...kinda cool haha. Oh yeah get used to calling them classes not jobs...people will tease you otherwise. Glad to see you are enjoying it.

Just remember,

It's a group and not a party

It's a class and not a job

It's the broker and not the auction house

And sooner or later, you'll wonder why you waited so long to start playing this game...

haha yea just the lil things ive noticed getting this far ive already wondered that...

FF is so... you must have X amount of Gil to absolutely have X gear for every job you play on FF and if not you rly are looked down at...Very financial based playing

solo.. very difficult unless beastmaster at any lvl over 20ish

and the quests and missions were nearly impossible to do alone and were mostly party based... so yes Very diffrent from what ive been use to for the past 3 years...

the "toons" i believe they are called on here are rly neat not as cartoonish as WoW or as bland as FF and i already LOVE the way my High Elf and Half Elf look :) ( although nothing replaces a Mithra * grin * )

also i already noticed a huge support in people for new players on EqII, another perk noted from the 5 servers i was apart of in the final fantasy world

lol im stoked :P

Soooooo, i am very much looking forward to the coins, groups, learning about the broker, and cking out Swashy as a class! ( holy smokes i ramble o.o )

* giggle *

3 1/2 hours remaining -_-
