putting a no resale tag on handcrafted itemsFollow

I see some items on the broker, That some players make their fortune on resaling other players crafting. Is that good or bad? In my opinion there should be an option, when crafting ,for NO-RESALE. why should some players get rich on someones crafting?

No matter how low it can make someone seem...there is nothing SoE can do about this...its one of the choices a player can ultimatly make and SOE really cant do anything about it or else it would cause an uproar.

On a side note...think about it, what if someone accidentally bought it, but found out it was the wrong thing, or found out that there was something better, then what would they have to do with the No-Resale thing (if it even existed) i mean...they wouldnt be able to resell it to get their money back now would they :P

I wouldn't say they are getting rich off someone else's crafting. That to me sounds like they are farming the items, having someone else craft it for them, then they go and sell it.

What you are talking about is 'playing the market' ie: buy low sell high. It happens in real life, and it happens in every other MMO...why would it stop in EQ2? If someone finds something they think they can resell higher, go for it. They might just buy the item, then try and put it back up for higher...but nobody buys it...its a risk they take when trying to play the market.

Depending on the individual situation you could also be seeing something totally innocent.

There used to be a restriction on broker sales of one toon per account (meaning you could only sell from one toon at a time) Because of this restriction (now lifted) I have always sold all my goods through one toon.

My crafters have always placed their goods in the shared bank so that my "sales toon" could collect the goods and sell them.

Only since RoK have I broken out sales by toon and actually sold tailored goods from the tailor etc.

In addition, back when the game was very young, there were players who attempted to "corner the market" by buying up all af a specific available product and then reselling it at a (sizable) profit. Unfortunately (for them) the game has just gotten too large to do this any more. There are so many crafters now that I'm sure any attempt to do so would only result in bankruptcy!

before i make a character i plan ahead. i buy items for the character for lvls 1-45 and store in a bank. including spells / house items / armour. now i also am the one that will lvl a character to 35-50 and then just all of a sudden delete it. i just ended up doing this with my dirge. the dirge also owned a 5 room house in north freeport, which was 50k status to reduce. i had 51k in the home. now i am selling the items on the market of all the stuff i had made for the toon or had bought. so i am glad i can re-sell crafted items... or i would be out of luck and a lot of plat.

+not being able to sell something you buy is a horrible idea, if the crafter doesnt like the fact that someone might buy something of tehres and sell it higher, then they should be selling it for more in the first place.

if i buy something from the bazaar, then i outlevel it or find something better, how is it fair that i wouldnt be able to sell that item since its useless?
