Just wanted to say Hi, I discovered these forums while waiting for the servers to go back up.

I'm a total newbie to EQII and to MMO's in general, so i've found here to be really helpful. (i've managed to get a lot of reading in today)

I'm playing on the Kithicor server and i'm now a Level 35 Warden, all of my spare time is spent playing, so you can imagine my horror when on my day off .. the server is down for more than 7 hours!! Eep!!

Anyway this looks like a nice friendly forum so i decided to sign up. Be gentle with me !! hehehe

Well then...welcome to this site and the game haha. Being a newbie to MMO's can be fun and sorta annoying...sadly when i started EQ2 i already had MMO experience so i didnt get to have the complete newb experience :P

Dont worry about that 8 hour downtime...those are very rare and affect all SOE games not just ours, so everyone has to do something else...or in some cases, suffer haha. Most server downtimes are 1-2 hours a day at 7 am PST so plan all your playtimes on that factor...weekends usually have no downtime of course.

and that is the end of the "Server Downtime 101" lesson!

Thanks for the welcome Gelthidor ^_^.

It is kinda fun learning how to play the game, my guildies are really helpful and don't seem to mind all the newb Q's from me. (hopefully i only ask the same Q twice hehe)

I seem to be levelling ok so far and i'm picking lots of things up (i hope)
