Good Morning, AllaK's - 2/25/08Follow

Good morning, happy campers.

Saturday saw the completion of the first round of City of Mist quests followed by speaking to Lhranc to advance my epic quest. After this I convinced some great folk to come down to Edgewater Drains to kill Glohnor. On the first try it was obvious we didn't have nearly enough DPS (tried to do it with 4) as he had about a bajillion HP. He was barely at 90% when I finally called an evac because the healer was running out of power. Grabbed a couple more folk and took him out.

Yesterday I went back to City of Mist to take out Lhranc. Fun time. Actually a cooler fight than I thought it was going to be. He's an 85^^^ with moderately high HP. He's an SK class mob, but at one point during the fight he charmed the tank and then mulched some poor caster. Was not expecting that. I quickly took over tanking and we dropped him and I got my update. Next I need to go learn me the sathirian language, then work on some Jinisk faction so I can advance the next stage of the quest.

Other events included the tanking of the final mob for the warlock epic, and a Freethinker's raid. We managed to clear Freethinker's except the last room. We couldn't get the distance/timing down on Treyloth's AE's and ended up calling it after the tanks started breaking. Fun time though. Oh, also scored a new two-hander from Lord Ghiosk in City of Mist. Throneblade of the Ykesha. Double stun/dd proc. Very cool.

How was your weekend?

I had a great weekend. Dinged 79, so only one more level to go. It's been a brutial grind since about level 75.

Yesterday around 2:30pm, i had a guildy ask me if i could make the stein for TS epic. I said i don't have the reciepe, but i need to start that progression anyway. Low and behold, 3 hours later, i have my Jeweler cloak. I couldn't believe how easy it was finding all the different TSers. Got a few people together, couple would finish and drop for turn in, then i'd invite more i needed. One guy had 3 level 80 crafters and he was completing them all, so he kept bringing a new toon and everyone eventually got their items made.

It was pretty sweet. Now, just the pesky 90% till i'm 80.

A good weekend for me too. My guild conducted a successful raid in DeathToll, I finally turned the corner on adv lvl 76, took my first trip to Seb, dug a little deeper into the K-Jungle quest lines, and made it well into 77 on my tailor.

Prospects for the coming week include continued work the solo KJ quest lines to try and reach 77 (so I can actually wear the two pieces of class armor I have been able to catch so far) and a spurt of crafting that should take me into lvl 79.

The best news in all this is that the RoK zones are all so rich that lvl 80 is not an ending but more of a beginning!

Well, the site suffered DDOS attacks all weekend, throwing your poor EQ2 Staff in to withdrawals. I really wanted to catalog more city merchants this weekend!

But I did make progress on my TS epic (I'm about to go smoke up bixies) and arranged for my level 72 MC armor.

In other site news, item effects are now searchable! Our brilliant devs come through again! You can search them in the Advanced Item Search, they're listed under the Stats drop downs. We've still got some duplicate entries from the old way we used to do 'em, I'm in the process of cleaning those up, but if you catch one PM me the item name or link and I'll fix it ASAP.

I got my free trial finally up and running, and got my character up to a whopping level 5. Still pretty uncomfortable with playing after a year of playing WoW. EQII seems a lot different. I'm still deciding if I really want to spend the money to continue playing it.
