BLACKBURROW RAID GUILD LFM!!!Follow

#1 Feb 14 2008 at 12:17 PM Rating: Decent
Hello fellow Norrathians,

In November some friends and I created a Guild with the intent to have a casual Raiding Organization. We had brought in quite a few friends but they have followed other friends to other places.

As a Casual Raiding Guild we will not make any Raid Day manditory. This entails we find a nice force (roughly 30 to 50 members) that WANT to Raid. We would prefer experience as we have Raided in the past but are willing to take those that have the want to learn, the open mind for suggestions and the appetite for success.

We will accept other members that aren't Raid Orientated and only want to play the game or support the team. We have a web site in creation as this is being typed as well as Ventrilo.

To explain why we need so many Raiders is this simple. There are some days that people want to Raid and some days they don't. The more we have for replacements the better off we are. If we get 24 straight Raid craving individuals we will form Raid Nights for the best availability for everyone. With more members we can have another organizer create Raids on the off nights as well.

The classes we feel will be essential to us at this time, but is not limited to, are as follows:

Templar X2
Inquisitor X1
Mystic X1
Defiler X2
Troubadour X2
Dirge X2
Warlock X2
Fury X1
Illusionist X2
Coercer X2
SCOUT X4
PLATE TANK X2
Warden X1
Necromancer X2

For the next couple of months we will be waiting patiently to fill these slots but forming groups constantly. Almost all of the groups will revolve around RoK zones. This will assist everyone to get to know each other as well as know each others playstyle; it will also assist us in building the Guild Bank with essentials and leveling the Guild.

To discuss this, please contact one of the following people in game:

Combatchicken
Rxax
Goyakla
Landil
Goffen
Memnot
Sarianna
Athief
Legiohn
Incubi

If you have Raiding Experience that's a MAJOR plus. What we would like are Level 80's, but we are not restricting anyone.

We are seasoned individuals, please provide us with your character name (spelled correctly) and server (if not on Blackburrow) so we may see your AA lines as well as armor. Also provide us with a list of Masters and Adept III's you have and also what ones you need.

You can also take screen shots, if you feel that's what you'd like to do, and email them to me at Athief2000@yahoo.com.

Thank you for your time and hopefully see some of you soon!

What can you tell folks about the quild already in place?

DKP or not?
Current raid force? (size and disposition)
Raid targets you have already taken?
Anything else might you have to offer a potential applicant?

My query is strictly academic as I am happy to stay both on the server and in the guild where I currently am. I just thought answers to these questions might help sway others who are not as settled...

When we formed this in November we had roughly a group and a half of seasoned Raiders. By end of December we were roughly five people short of a full Raid Party.

Due to Recruitment from other Guilds and people who thought suggestions to enhance their character(s) or comments (not rude or said in an evil or hurtful way) were ways of dictating how people should play made a couple disband. We had quite a few people recruited from us leaving us with only two groups (give or take) left (raid able bodies that is).

We also have a number of lower level characters spanning from 20 to near 70. There are also those that aren't on a lot, so those weren't included.

Our main intent is to have a raid force that can do EoF and RoK. I'm planning on posting this in as many areas for EQ2 as possible.

We aren't aiming toward KoS as a Raid Goal, but we will experiment to see where we stand as a Guild in maybe a couple of those zones.

There will be a DKP System but that system will be fairly balanced and there will be no "Tier" restriction for Raid Attendance %. Even people that aren't in the Guild but come along will get DKP and will be recorded for future Raids.

As I stated, our Web Site is under construction but we already have Ventrilo. Our Forums were just started and are up but still being added to and deleted from. We have a couple of Transmuter's, I'm a 400/400 Tinkerer, I'm building Alchemy, we have two Master Sages, Woodworkers and other crafters. I am farming out more Rares for those that don't have ADEPT III's yet.

We also have our main characters (Raider wise) working on alternate characters to make up for the "hard to fill" slots. One of our main guys is a Raider (Monk) who has an up and coming Dirge and Templar. We have two main Conjurors who have a Warden and Fury Alt that can fill a healer slot. I have a Shadowknight and an Illusionist started to fill MT or MA slot and the Mez'er slot if needed.

We have a great group of people who are fun and have knowledge of the game. We (the leaders) already pay for the extra's to enhance the Guild as best as we can. Now it's time to just fill in the gaps.

I lead a very successful Guild in EQ1 a long ways back. I five boxed at that time. I started playing this July 3, 2007 and saw a ton of potential for so many players that aren't given the chance. They WANT to go to these places and they WANT to find some awesome stuff to kill. Unfortunately they don't understand that to do so sometimes you have to make a change... do something different. For me to lead them in, train them on where to go and help them equip themselves so they can just enhance another Guild isn't really fair.

"Pick up Raids" aren't going to cut it for EoF and RoK. Granted, some do make it, I won't say it's impossible. KoS you can sit around and formulate a good run, but these other zones take organization and cooperation. That's what we want to do for this Guild.

As for promises I can or can't make to you. That's impossible. There's only one promise that I can make that will stand true. If you come I will not abandon you. I have been asked to join other Guilds that Raid constantly. I belonged to a Guild that Raided constantly. But if this force builds I will stand by you all til the end. To promise you success and riches and fame and fortune would be a lie. It takes your want, your need and your hunger to achieve this. It takes loyalty to build a force.

I wouldn't be posting here for this but it seems I've been left with no alternative.

Thank you for listening everyone and thank you both for your suggestions!

It sounds like you are a well organized bunch with reasonable goals and a solid foundation. Seems to me you just got a few bad breaks (which can happen to anybody).

Best of luck in moving forward with the plan.

Your description makes me wish I had an alt on Blackburrow... and the time to play him!

The trouble with guild recruitment on these forums is that everyone is on different servers here. You guys sound like an excellent guild but very few people are willing to pay for a server transfer to join a guild.

I may have missed it....but what is your guild's name?

Also, I've had a good many recruits join my guild through a variety of websites (this one included)...so good luck with your guild and with getting the word out.

If you ever want want to exchange some raiding/recruitment ideas...feel free to look me up or to send a cross server tell (see siggy for details).
