Where to find the nice looking mounts?Follow

#1 Feb 12 2008 at 8:29 AM Rating: Decent
I've seen some really nice looking mounts out there and was looking for info/list of where to find these quests to get them. Are they faction based?

I saw a brown armored warg that looked really good, It had damage attributes and flaming eyes and paws, was for evil aligned only.

Where do you get these? Please

Thank in advance.

Some I know you can get based on your guilds level. The worgs are found in Loping PLains an the town center. Other horses are found usually in the cities. If youre Qeynos assigned the horses are found in the stables in NQ as are the rhinos. When viewing you can right click to see the run speed and stats if there are any, or you can ctrl click to see what they look like.

Yes, I did this line of quests and must have bought the cheaper model and didn't even look at the rest, Was not in a guild at the time. I'll have to go back to LP and check out the selection better.

Thanks to all replys

To add to what DSD said, if you are from Freeport, the stables are in West Freeport. Thats where you can buy the Horse with the flames comming out of its mouth, eyes, and hoofs. Same with the flamming warg and rhino I believe. But these require guild level 80 I think (might be wrong on the guild level).

There is also a horse with blue flames instead of red/orange ones. This is sold in neriak. And again for the flamming effect must be evil. I think pie bakers (good toons) get some special mount too, but I have no clue that that is.

You can now look up mounts in our Advanced Item Search :)

Are they all in there? Gee, I *think* so, lol. I know I'm missing some locations, stablemen are part of the Status Merchant Survey I'm doing (which was a lot to bite off, but it needed doing). Oh, Guild Level requirement have been added to the data.

I was working on this at the end of the year, there's lots of pics, too.

PS - You might be thinking of the Nightmare Wargs.

Got a question to this. Can you still buy a mount without a guild? if so are they the 50% speed ones or are they crap ones not worth buying. and if I have to be in a guild, can I join a high guild then disband after buying it or will I not be able to ride if I disband?

You only *need* to be in the guild when you make the purchase. Leaving the guild after purchasing any status item doesn't affect your use or possession of the item. And don't worry about taking advantage of the guild and just using them to get what you need... all high level guilds love that kind of thing...

You can buy decent speed mounts without being in a guild, however all the very top of the line mounts require a guild of a specific level (which irks me to no end...I want a nightmare, damnit).

If you join a guild, buy a mount then drop that guild, you will still have use of that mount. It doesn't go away (the guild requirement is on the purchase, not the charges of the item itself). I can't speak towards the quality of your reputation on your server after such an act though...

Edit - OldBlue beat me to it. ;)

I apologize to everyone about the form, It was more for information than being realistic if I actually got invited to a reputable guild I would not leave for the hell of it because I love being "ooh'd and ahh'd". Truth of matter is I just started game and seen some mounts at a station and it said I needed a High lvl guild to obtain it.
Sorry for the misstatement of my last post I should have revised my question better.
Thank you all though for the information and my reapologizes for making a minor flame.

P.S. Also was worried about being kicked, disbanded guild, and not being able to ride my mount.

Oh hey, don't sweat it. We weren't flaming you. :) Just a friendly warning against something we've all seen before. More often than you would think, ne`er-do-wells will join a guild, take what they need then split. Just cautioning you against looking at a guild as a means to an end.
