Tin ClusterFollow

Am I missing something, or are Tin Clusters the hardest things in the world to collect? Not only are the node spawns rare, but most of them give you a gabillion leaded loams to every 1 tin cluster.

Is there any place I can gather more then a handful of tin clusters per hour? Also, is there any place with UPDATED tradeskill information?

Tin is the common T1 metal. Try harvesting nodes on the Queen's Island or on Lucan's Island (good and evil starting locations).

If your main has already left the island just roll up an alt so you can harvest there. The soft and hard metal nodes are both abundant there and most people don't spend a lot of time harvesting that early!

I'm working on the updates for our Tradeskill Guides. In the mean time, the bestest place EVAH for Tradeskill info is http://eq2.eqtraders.com.

Tell them we said hi :)

Meanwhile, where are you harvesting? Greater Faydark is a total PITA to harvest, IMO, but you can find those nodes in any zone with a level 1-9 range (provided it's not one of those scale-to-your-level instances): http://eq2.allakhazam.com/db/zonelist.html?sortby=level

I get mine on the Queen's Colony, I have an alt there for when the kids leave me REALLY braindead.

Thanks so much for the info on the Queen's Colony. I never even thought about making a toon for that specific purpose. I'll give that a try.

As far as EQTraders, I used that site heavily when I played the original EQ, and returned when I started playing EQ2, but most of their info is out of date.
Quote:
This list is massively out of date due to LU19 changes. In addition, ALL recipes contained in this database (plus a whole lot more that we gave up on due to this) will be either changing or going away "soon" due to changes in the tradeskill process. Please read the forums for details on the changes. The database will be out of kilter for a while as we get it all sorted out.

Also, what is PITA?
EDIT: Nevermind, figured it out. hehe

PITA = Pain in the asterisk :)

I'd check the EQ2 Traders forum for info on their db, as Niami told me they were doing a big-ol' database revamp shortly after Kunark.

Recipes have been on our list at least since I started here last year, but it's been all we can do to keep up with changes and new content. Those SOE devs are BUSY people! We did (at least) delete all the pre-GU 24 recipes. IMO, no data is better than bad data.

And with some excellent behind-the-scenes dev work going on (like Lucy2), we might actually be able to get back on the recipe db again. I hope, lol.
