Good Morning, AllaK's - 2/10/08Follow

Good morning, happy campers.

So this weekend was all about the epics, it seems. I, unfortunately, am still 13% from 80 and thus unable to start the quests. I decided to work towards that mark, but it was slow going due to time constraints and having to take a break for the Pro-Bowl (NFC, WOO!). I ended up solo'ing for the majority of the weekend. Did a bunch of the repeatables in Jarsath Wastes and built up my hunter faction. Did get in on a Karnor's group and helped some caster get his Epic kill there.

All in all good times. Didn't make 80 quite yet, but I'm close. I also drove down to the Borgata Friday night and walked out $600 richer.

How was your weekend?

I want to hear you hit 80 in tomorrows thread, Stu. =)

Indeed it's all about the epics this week. Our guild has made Sunday epic night, in order to get everyone on board and help each other. SOE did a good job intertwining the classes quests together, making it fun for everyone.
Sat we did our basic raids. Rusked through Protectors realm and then worked on our strat for OK. He got a little bit harder after last patch I heard, and we did not take him down again... yet. Its only a matter of time.

Sunday everyone got together and split into a few groups for epics. My group hit KC for the brigand/Illy, Shard of fear and took down Terror for Guardian/Monk, then hit Sebilis for almost all of us. I was able to get one more blade and I just popped on to finish getting my fourth. I have one more blade to get from LS and then I have to hit Vaults and Maidens Chambers to grab papers, then craft my fabled epic.

Ran around a lot trying to figure out the epic, along with about every lvl 80 out there I suppose, am one fifth there now Smiley: grin

Still have to complete one side quest at the Tabernacle of Pain before I can fight the 85 heroic there, just feign deathed my way inside the City of Mist to get an amulet there. Unfortunately, for the next step, I'll have to kill a golem there, so no FDing trick then.

I actually... wait for it... got in a guild group last night! For about an hour, until baby's cold required a snuggle. It was such a rare event we wrote it down...

Worked on my Bathezid faction for the crafter epic.

I thought baby adventurers that were max level crafters were going to be able to do the crafter epic. How is a lowbie supposed to do BW faction?

This last week has been nuts with how many people are out there trying for their epic. Sebillis is an insane place to go right now with so many people hunting in there.

Speaking of which, quick question. How do you get to the bottom of Sebillis, by going through the water? I need to get to the entrance of Venril Sathir, but no idea where that is in Seb.

Didn't have a lot of play time this weekend but what I did get counted for forward progression.

Spent some time completing the last of my quests in KP before turning the corner on lvl 75 last night. I'm about ready to abandon KP in favor of Fens and with less than a dozen quests in Fens, am soon to move on to Kunzar Jungle.

I'm also working at running my skill as a tailor up to lvl 80, (I'm currently 73), so that I can supply Legendary T8 leather & cloth armor to Norrath's teeming masses!

I've begun to consider how I'm going to complete both class and TS epics once I reach 80/80 and have no doubt that the "basic" epic will be the only one I see for a long time to come!

Over all, it was an enjoyable weekend if not an overly productive one!

Once you enter Seb and get to the circular rotunda, head to the edge of the circle (roughly 2:00) and jump over. In that area if you look around, underwater is a tunnel straight down that will take you to the basement area of Seb. Head away from the jail cells and you come to another pool of water. Swim down and take your first right and that will begin to lead you towards VS's area. Bring lots of friends and dont forget to have the healer pass out feathers. =)

Well, I'm a few days behind (as always :) )

Anyway, things are good and the guild is good, but I've been busy in RL...so my playtime has been lower than usual for a few weeks. I'm managing my 4 raid nights still...but was only able to squeeze in the odd instance and shopping in between. Should be back to normal as of this week though thankfully.

Still working on gearing up my SK and am quite happy with him so far. Passed a few milestones on him that I was striving for (HP level/DPS etc..). Tanking Tier 2 now without issues, so that's nice as well. Looking forward to the next step-up.

1 instance run away from 76 on my Inquis, possibly nail that later tonight if my dinner-date ends early. I'm using him more and more as a filler healer....soooo, I have been having an absolute blast decking him out him STR, proc, and Double attack gear. Holy cow, for a healer, he's got some heavy duty DPS.

My Dirge has been on the backburner for a few weeks, but I took him out last night for a MMIS run. Tagged a nice earring with him, and got the itch to play him more again now.

Haven't started my EPIC yet, due to needing to push my healer up a little before this friday's raid...and not having tons of time. Hopefully will get on it sometime in the next few days (at least to pick it up hehe). Few in guild already have their initial version....some are quite nice :)

there are crafting writs that baby adventurers can do for faction with BW. each writ gives +750 faction with BW. at least that's what EQ2Traders said. have yet to check it out myself, though

Yep, they're there. I'm doing them myself when kids don't let me adventure. You need to do New Lands, New Profits before you can get them, but the quest is doable by brave non-adventurers.
