Hello all,

Coming back to EQ2 after hoping between various MMOs. I'm reinstalling right now the EoF disc.

Back when I used to play, it was hard for me to get groups on my Pally on the late nights when I played. How has the population been since the Xpack has hit, and is there a reason I need the Xpack out of the starting gates, or should I be fine.

Also, since it has been so long, would you suggest me getting back into my 63 Pally on Permafrost, or start a new character on some other server? If the second, any good server choices that are fairly active late night, Pacific time?

On aside note, when I left, I used to get chain tells for plat selling websites, how has those been lately?

Thanks in advance. Sorry if this seems rushed, typing right before heading out the door to work.

I solo mostly, so no clue on groups. As for your pally, how long hav eyou been gone? There've been a lot of changes in the last couple years, you might want to roll a new toon or at least start with the expectation that a LOT is different.

Good news on plat spams: There's a filter now, and it auto-/reports them. At Fan Faire we were told they catch a quarter million spans a day (and ban account twice a day!).

Good to hear about the spammers, it was getting pretty insane there towards when I left.

I want to say I quit around a year or so ago. I hop between alot of MMOs, so hard to keep track sometimes.

I'll see if I can find some patch notes somewhere and see what's gone down in that timeframe(other then the Xpack which added who knows what).

Thanks again.

Thanks for the links. Noticed both my Pally and Zerker got an armor upgrade in graphics when I logged into them(My pally's plate went from pure silver to a bronze and black look, while my zerker lower level armor turned from bleh grey into a much over done gold and silver)

The achievements not using specific weapons was a nice change I noticed as well, coupled with the new racial abilities/changes.

Overall things look pretty nice thus far. Haven't been able to do much though so will have to see how things pan out.

You'll find you zerker will still need to wield a dustbin lid buckler for the buckler reversal line. Looking forward to that being changed one day...

Yeah, I still love how wildly my Iksar zerker is when duel wielding, The whole shield thing I tend to leave to my Pally. While I understand the damage potential is greater when the buckler... Iksar's just look so much cooler with the plate and duel swords thing going on.

Still trying to get into the swing of things. On one hand would like to level my zerker, since I do love the Iksar's looks and, duel wielding makes him look a whirling dervish of destruction(Plus his racial traits seem far more compatible with Zerker then my pally and Bruiser, with those two being High Elves), but on the other my lvl 63 Pally and Bruiser have both been respectable characters and been through a lot(Bruiser has 82 AA points at lvl 63, I always thought that was pretty respectable).

Hardest thing so far is getting plat. Forgot how much adept 1's and mastercrafted gear chew through your funds. I need to get some character of mine, back up to par in his gathering and try and make some money at some point in my upcoming weekend(added into trying to find a decent guild as well).

Busy, busy.

Hi,

I play a level 77 paladin on Permafrost. If you want to chat about the class, send me a tell: Anurra

I usually play from 4:30 am to 9:00 pm EST (not all the time, lol).

Thanks
