Good morning, happy campers.
Solo-questapalooza continues. Decided to get a change of scenery and left RoK for a bit. Headed up to Palace of Awakening to work on Claymore. Knocked out /most/ of A Star to Unlock. Got bored after finishing making the key and headed back out.
Went out to Mistmoore Catacombs to work on Stone Behind the Ankh. Knocked out that part and headed to Kaladim to knock out it's part. Got the forge update and score a mined diamond to add to my expert collection for Faydwer while I was at it. Good times.
Punched out, but then work woke me up at 4am. Logged back in and started looking for a group. No love at that early hour so I futzed around on the broker. Scored myself a nice neck piece (replaced Mark of Awakening finally!) and punched out to try to get some shut-eye before coming into the office.

It was decent. We raided Chardok last night and tried the Overking for the first time. We died many, many times. We go back tonight to try again. It wouldnt be too hard, except that he stuns you, there are 4 adds you have to bring down asap and then another 6 adds spawn in about 30 seconds and run right for the healers.
I did get quite a laugh at the Overkings Throne. Hmmmm, where now stands an Overking, could there have been an Overqueen?

Had a phone interview this morning at 8:30am for a tech position at a major wireless company. I'm severely over qualified for the position so I played EQ2 during the interview. XD
Didn't get a chance to play yesterday or the day before. I've been getting caught up on Heroes and Lost since I've never seen them on television. Netflix now offers unlimited "Watch Instantly" to its customers.. so next up is all 11 seasons of Magnum PI! *grins*

OMG. I love Magnum!
Harvested on the Isle 'cause it's time to get off my duffus and get transmuting maxed. A couple hours of watching TV with 1 1/2 eyes gave me 80-odd potential transmuting combines. After eight combines and ONE skillup I cursed the God of the RNG and called it a night.
10 inches of snow last night!! I just shoveled a chunk of our sidewalk.

Re-subscribed last weekend after purchasing RoK. Got back into my old guild and it was like I never left! After spending a year in Middle Earth, I'm loving the new expansion. Tons of quests, a HUGE new zone to explore, 10 more levels of XP, nice new mob models and when I finally get to Karnor's, (this weekend or next), I just know it's gonna ROCK!!!
My only concern so far is that I have not been able to find really solid spots to scavenge roots and pelts and without a steady supply, the crawl from 70 to 80 on my tailor is gonna be a drag!

Hey, welcome back ODB. Yeah, RoK is a freakin' blast. Harvesting is always an adventure though. Not a lot of concentrated "node areas" and what ones there are, are usually not free from aggro. Good times though.

Welcome back OBD! As for pelts and roots, I've found the highest concentration in the Kunzar Jungle, just above the Outer Sebilis amidst the Trakasaurs (or the other dino variant roaming there) and the apes just above them.
Ofcourse, not the easiest place to run around at a lower lvl though.
I'm trying to recall good spots in the Kylong Plains, but you'll be dragged through that zone thoroughly for all the quests there so I hope you'll find the good spots there!
