I have had a defiler for a long time. He has been a tradeskill-only alt for all of that time. Now that he is maxed out as an armourer, I am taking him adventuring. He is at the dizzy heights of level 16 at the moment. The 3 or 4 AA points I have got so far have been spent strengthening WIS on the Shaman page. (Didn't have any expansions when I got him to level 12, hence low AA count)

I mainly solo, do a few small groups, rarely raid. It seems to make sense to keep spending on WIS for now, however none of the Shamen lines really appeal to me beyond the raw stat boosts.

Can you suggest where would be the best place to spend points in future? Over to you...

I had the same issue with my defiler. None of the shaman AA lines seem really great or really stand out. I know I went down int line a bit, but I don't remember what else. I'll check out my spec when I get home tonight and give you more specifics.

I have been going down I THINK the STR line with mine. I seen something in their about giving the group some extra haste. But yea nothing really seemed to jump out at me on the defiler AP's.

I know I took the one that makes your dog immune to AEs, which greatly improves his survivability since he has the HP of roadkill. I also maxxed the line that makes the dog proc a group ward when he attacks. He prevents soooo much damage. I think once I had maxxed those lines I went down INT for crits.

Too true! lol

And you have to recast it when you level up, as your pet doesn't level with you
