NOOB Q.-Vitality Bonus, eh? :: Free Realms

Hi folks!
DISCLAIMER:
Pardon what is undoubtedly a noob question, but I'm new to EQII and have kind of soloed from hatching to level 26 so far, and couldn't find the answer I'm seeking on the forums/knowledgebases....that said:

VITALITY BONUS? (EH??)
As I say, I generally have only soloed this whole time, so I see this vitality bonus thing on my exp bar now and then, but not always. Bonus XP (double, whoo hoo!) due to my vitality? I've not seen this particular bonus in MMORPG before, so was hopin' someone could 'splain please? I know what it is obviously, but what do they mean due to my vitality? What determines if I have said "vitality" thus said bonus? Eating? Sleeping? A rest option I missed? It is often there for hours, then I am earning normal EXP again.

every hour you earn vitality. It happens every hour on the hour. If you have not played for awhile your vitality accrues. When you kill things it uses up your vitality until it is gone. While you have the vitality you get double xp.

There's nothing you can do to make it grow, no eating, drinking, etc. It just is given to you.

Ywp, you earn about 1/2% ever hour, on the hour, offline or on. You only burn it when you gain XP and you can't "bank" it, when your vitality pool is at 100% that it.

It's a way to help casual players to 'keep up' with people who play all the time. It takes time to get your vitality back. So if you don't play so often, you'll usually be getting twice as much xp as someone who plays constantly.
