Hey guys, ive been off of EQ2 for awhile, before RoK came out.
You see I'm always in this constant MMO struggle!
I never know which MMO to play =O
Right now I'm on Lotro, but it does not seem to be suiting my needs, so anyhow Ive got some extra cash on hand, so I'm coming to you guys for a little back up.
How good is RoK, does it have a lot to offer?
I know it looks great and all that but is it something to have a past player coming back? I have no complaints about EQ2 aside from the ever so often desperate group search (i'm a monk), but other than that I love the game.
So what do you guys think? Should I go pick up the expansion and start havin some more EQ2 fun?

As for RoK...I suppose the answer to that depends on where you left your toons. You'll have the benefit of the raised AA cap, but as far as the content goes RoK is strictly a 65+ affair. If you left your monk at the high end you can jump right in, but if not Kunark will be a bit much for ya. If you are big enough to handle it, you're in for a treat. RoK is /huge/ and had metric craploads of content for you to explore. Tons of factions and story. A ridiculous amount of quests with good rewards for both the solo (I've solo'd 70-77 so far just questing by myself) and group players. Nostalgia out the wazoo for old eq1 players. Good times.

You don't get the extra AA cap till you hit lvl 70 (or is it 71?)

I think its 70 because I remmember getting more AA's the night RoK came out could be wrong though. RoK is an excellent expansion. At your level you could go to lfay for a few lvls and then do KoS or Loping Planes until your mid 60s. The game really has improved over the years.
