I just switched from DSL 3Mb to cable 10Mb and am having game problems. I can't interact with objects, such as doors or the banker. When I click on the banker, it's the equivalent of requesting a logout to character selection. The game kicks me out to the character select screen and when I try to log back in, it says that there's already a character in the world and try back later. Very frustrating. Has anybody run into such a problem? And have a solution?

Sounds like lag somewhere, but with 10mb you shouldn't get that issue (I don't at 5mb). Um... are you using a router? If so, is your firmware current? Have you run a Bandwidth Test on your ISP to see if you're actually getting 10mb? We had miserable speed for a month, we screamed a lot and forced them to do a load reballancing.

I'd check the usual suspects: router, antivirus software, etc.

might want to try this as well:

Power off your computer and any other computers connected to the network. Unplug your router power.
Unplug your cable modem.
Wait 30 seconds.
Plug your cable modem back in
Wait 30 seconds
Plug your router back in.
Wait 30 seconds
Power on your computers

In your computer go to start: run
type cmd

in the command window type these three commands in succession and press enter, waiting about 15 seconds between each
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /renew

Then make sure your network card drivers are up to date, your router firmware is up to date, and all windows security updates and firewall updates are up to date.

If you are still having problems at that point it is your cable line or modem, and you need to have the company come and fix it.

Ok fixed it. The cable company installed a WIRELESS USB. Worst of both worlds. There's your lag. I exchanged the piece of junk for a good old ethernet box and it rocks.
