I thought I'd start this thread today because...

I actually FINISHED A QUEST! That's right, I took my pasty-white Woodworker complexion to Kylong Plains to see if I'd done enough leveling to actually survive. I'm pleased to report that at level 68, with the best non-raid armor I can find and every trick I've got including pulling with a snaring hex doll, I survived and finished not one, but TWO quests.

I hear they're selling sno-cones in Lavastorm....

Then I ran around a bit and got AA by dying. Kunark zones are great like that, you die and end up somewhere really remote, turn around three times and there's AA and a sokokar post. I gotta get a guildie to help me get my sokokar, unless they downtuned the Drovarg I don't think I'll survive them.

Mmmm...I can't decide between Blueberry Najena Pops or Solusek's Cherry Sorbet.

My gaming rig still won't boot, so I'm stuck just playing Legends of Norrath on my laptop. Still can't beat the stinking Zek mission challenge on it. I'm beginning to think I need to *gasp* buy more cards.

Did you get any Calthine cards? I'm being told they're... quite common, lol. Hey, there's an LoN Tourney this weekend. Damn, that's a nice cloak....

Nice! There are loads of quests in Kunark, you should really do a lot of those, great rewards.

Got a new AA myself, at 116 now, but might go a lot slower now after doing most quests, or the easy ones anyway. Did some writs, guild is very close to lvl 55.

Used the parser for the first time, went well after I remembered to start it as administrator.

If you are careful and have a lot of patience, you can survive quite a lot of Kunark. It does take a lot of spinning in place to see where the mobs are but it can be done.

There are two choke points where the mobs see invis and i had to wait until someone had killed the mob because i could not outrun them.
Managed to make it to the Danak Shipyards that way. Surprisingly there are a few mobs in the way which are non-aggro but most can kill me in 3 or 4 hits.

Took two days to work a route out but finally got there, completed the taskmaster in Terens Grasp quests as well which gives enough faction to stop you being "Kill on Sight" with the factions.

While its not last night, this past week had some good gaming going on. Our guild decided to try PawBuster for the first time. At one point, tank went down and I used Peel (adept1 is 50 seconds of holding targets aggro so long as Im not at the top of the list). I died horribly, but RL got the idea to have healers stay on me as we timed peel to keep aggro for half the fight. After a few tweaks, we were able to bring him down. I loved actually having a real important role, and fortunately RL thought peel was our new weapon of mass destruction. Guildies made me an adept 3 (holds for 70 seconds) so we might be trying that tactic out a lot more.

I've been feeling frustrated in raids for not being able to contribute more as a monk, but Peel finally has given monks a reason to really be there. I couldnt tank for a long time with healers focused on MT and I am wearing leather. I can DPS, but not enough to feel I'm adding much to the raid. I went to bed dancing, now that I feel I actually have a real concrete thing to contribute.

We started up Kunars Castles raid and may try to finish that up early next week. Otherwise, Im just trying to get my dirge up to raiding level to be able to contribute more.

I did Kunark Beta for Zam, so yeah, there's tons to do there. The frustration was going from Beta to Live and having no Beta Buffer, lol, and having to level my main up to where she could survive, lol.

I did a couple more quests last night, fun!

Heh.. I got a Calthine card in all the 3 of the booster packs I bought for myself. I'd say common is an understatement. There's a Cal in everyone's back pocket! XD
