A Calling...for return.Follow

Hello folks,

It has been nearly a year, since I lay my EQ2 account to rest, and removed it from my PC. I had a 70 Necromancer and numerous alts, which were spread across different servers, including PvP servers.

I have been playing World of Warcraft, as my cousin plays (Plays alot) and he is in the military, so it enables me to talk with him on a regular basis. I was happy he got a chance to come back to the states for a visit over the Holidays!

Anyway, that is the sole reason I have still been glued to the World of Azeroth. I have had an ich, to play a Necromancer again, as the one I played in EQ2 seemed so much more fun than my Warlock in WoW... With the release of the new expansion, it brings new Necro pets also... New Race (which looks cool)!

So, I am now in search (Have to purchase the new expansion, and all the other expansions I through out again) to make a return. . . However, I don't remember my original account user, and Password. It will be likely I will have to start, all over from scratch!

I was on najena before, which was suggested from some of the good folks on these forums. I would like suggestions on a server and in addition, if any of you have a guild that would take me in, that would be great.

*I apologize for my long, drawn-out post!*

Thank you!

Hi Pjstock, welcome back! Perhaps you could contact SOE and see if they can't help you out? It's a long ride back to 70 even if there's lots of things to do, and a lot of it new for you.

Kunark is a great expansion (way exceeding my expectations, but they were low for some reason this time) with lots to do, but unfortunately not for the entire level range; you can start a new char and lvl him to about lvl 20 but then you will have to go back to older zones to about lvl 65-70 before you can head back to Kunark. Still, loads of zones to run around in and over 4000 quests easily. (only have 2200 myself so far, but there are several people with over 4000 quests finished)

Weren't you in Foundation guild on Najena? (or was it the guild Royal Guards I believe?)

Well, you'd be in luck for the expansions. Purchasing Kunark gets you all the previous expansions. Any adventure packs you purchased (Bloodlines, Splitpaw, etc.) would still be flagged on your account (which you should be able to retrieve through SOE customer service) and will just download the required files when you patch as part of the installation process.

Thanks for the replies! Yes, I was in foundation for the majority of my characters life in EQ2, until I stopped playing. I remember you, I think... And turnerbriarpaw (might have been his name on alla)?

I almost want to start a new account to be honest... It may be a little difficult getting use to the game again on my 70 necro. I also want to start a sarnak. I am thinking of leveling a Sarnak Necro, because I have always love the necro class, and I see there are three new pets. I'm curious to see what they look like!

If I don't make a necro, I know I will be some kind of caster for sure. I've tried to play scout melee classes, and tanks alike, but lose interest too quickly in them. In EQOA, I was a dwarf pally, and loved it. For whatever reason, I can't seem to go back to that type of play style!

I remember you can betray as well, which I did on a pvp server prior to my departure from the game. I remember it was hell to finish, but was rewarding, fighting my old guildies!

Anyway, I just purchased the game online and should be playing as early as tomorrow!!! I think I am all pvp'd out from World of Warcraft Arena, so I may elect to roll on a PvE server and aim to raid at higher levels. I'd love to play on Najena again and join up with Foundation once more, if you guys would have me back! I'll be a bit rusty though, lol.

Sure thing! Tutanbriarpaw is on a sabbatical unfortunately, but most of the people on at the time you played should still be in the guild. Even if several took long breaks from the game, in the end we all seem to be coming back!

When you're online, just contact either Abuj or Maxim or Squibb. I should be on this weekend.

We're still a small family style guild, but quite willing to see the higher lvl parts of the game too, at lvl 54 at the moment. We've started to group up regularly for the tougher instances, not the raid ones as we're a bit too small for that.

Sounds good. I am eager to play again! Did Tutan go to another game? LOTRO or something? I tried that game out a bit, but wasn't my cup of tea really... Now if I remember correctly... Good and Evil races can guild and group, correct? I think I remember that being the case when I played before... But have grown so accustom to WoW, where its not possible what-so ever!

Anyway, the small family style will suit me just fine. I've always been casual about raiding anyway, and even if I can recover my username and password, I will start a new character. I want to re-establish myself in Norrath, so I don't spoil anyone's level 70 groups with rusty gameplay!

Funny, I almost want a new Necro. It would seem familar to me, but distant (the skills and spells) leveling up a new one. I also am curious of how cool the new pets look!

Good and Evil can group/guild together. They just can't use the same shared bank. The broker also now allows you to buy goods from both cities, however there is a higher fee if you buy from a opposing city.

Far as necro's go the new scout pet is a male vampire (kinda lame since the previous was a female vampire). The caster pet is a drachnid, and the tank pet is a skeliton with cool armor on a horse (kinda like those bad guys from LOTR).

No, he had to go away for work for a while. Still hoping he'll be back soon!

I tried LotrO too, but couldn't keep my interest in it high enough to keep playing it. It's not a bad game, but been there, done that and some elements were rather frustrating.
