Just stopping by for a quick question.

Which servers are best to start a west coast healer on? I have played a templar, mystic, and inquasitioner up to lvl 10 on the trial and found the Templar more of my type. I have heard templars are in high demand but which server? On mistmoore i am being told there are to many?

I was going to suggest checking out eq2census, but it looks like that site is no longer running. I dont think anyone can give you a good answer, especially if you are looking for stats on players, but if you want to do a little leg work and get a decent idea you can head over to eq2players.com and look through their info.

I know on Unrest is varies. One day you see people begging for leather healers, some days they want chain, others plate. In general Tanks and Healers are always in demand though.

I did some number crunching for the 3 priest classes that i found fun to play. They turned out to be all good classes. Templar, Mystic, Warden. From what i figured with looking up these classes on each USA server for levels 75-80 is:

Befallen has the lowest % of Templars from total players.
Butcherblock has the lowest % of Mystics from total players by far.
Oasis has the lowest % of Wardens from total players.

Also befallen has the lowest % of priest classes from total players.

Im not sure if this is right but i am a numbers guy. Templars seem to be the best fit for me. This is just from playing them all from level 1-10 in the little newbie trail areas.

Also how helpful/demanded are mystics? There % from total players are only 2.6%-3.7% where wardens and templars are 4.1%-5.9% of players per server total from lvl 75-80.

So if i had to choose i would say i would start my first toon as follows...a templar or warden on Befallen. or a mystic on butcherblock?

I would suggest making one of each and playing both until lvl 20. That gives you a chance to get a real good feel for the class, as well as the server.

And I hate to sound all mushy and stuff...but honestly, it's not going to make one bit of difference how "in demand" you are if at the end of the day you're not enjoying the toon.

Many high end players are also "altaholics" so at any given time you can find someone in newbie chat channels (1 -9) who's been around the server long enough to maybe answer your question as to what seems to be most in demand when it comes to raiding and instance runs. You might want to try that while you're taking a few toons and servers out for test drives. =)

I know on the Lucan DLere server, there aren't enough Mystics. My main is one and my guild just loves to involve her in groups. :-)

I was away from my main a mystic for most of 2007 due to just getting bored with playing a healer and never getting any groups. Now I have started to play again leveled up to 66 and wow I am very popular nowadays. I do not know if there is a general lack of healers (may be its not fun to solo a healer to level 60) or other reasons, but it is a big change at least.
