Thinkign of making a Dirge...Follow
New to playing the game. Dirge looks like a fun beginner class. Any pointers?
Dirges are great for raids in that they bring a lot to the table buff and debuffwise. Dont expect to be a high parser though, even if you are a scout. As for pointers, keep healing potions on hand, use your shroud to get around difficult areas, and remember where your evac button is when soloing =)

I've been levelling up a dirge for the last few months and I've been loving it. As long as I keep to going down AA lines that help me solo (that's what I do on her mostly until she's up high enough for raiding)... the one thing I do wish is that troubies and dirges could make use of scout poisons, but that's how it goes.
All in all, they get some great group buffs as well as some effective mob debuffs and can hold their own for dps (not like a swashie or a brig as far as scouts go) but if you spec it right I think you'll be satisfied. =)

Oh and remember...Heroic Opportunities are the scouts best friend!! You'll survive ALOT longer!
