Is it possile to build a private server for EQ2? Are there any guides out there which show how to do this?

Thanks,

To do so would be a violation of the EULA. And possibly leave you open for legal action.

Yeah, I thought I'd heard something about that. Anyway, I just wanted to know if it's possible so that - fifteen years or now or whatever - if all the servers shut down I'd be able to play every now and then when I'm older. I'm in the process of backing up a lot of PC stuff and the Everquest experience (minus all of the people, obviously) is something I'm interested in backing up, too. If I ever did make a private server, for any kind of game, it wouldn't be public; it'd just be for me to wander around in for a couple hours and be nostalgic.

So, legality aside, is it possible?

Thanks Again,
-Axion

Since doing so would be a violation of the EULA I need to shut this conversation down. If you want to discuss breaking the EULA (even hypothetically 15 years down the road) you need to take it somewhere else.

Thanks
