Are the difficulty levels in Rise of Kunark diferent? In the kingdom of the sky as a level 66 I can kill a level 68. In Kunark, I am a level 70 ranger but am having a hard time kiling a level 68.
There have been several topics about this in the past, but yes Kunark mobs do seem to be alot more difficult then mobs from previous expansions. Alot of people have complained but SOE seems to care more about the people who had the chance to raid over and over again for fabled gear before kunark unlike the rest of us.
I remember around lvl 68 I could solo a lvl 66 heroic mob in KOS easier then a lvl 69 solo mob in kunark. I suppose the good news is the rewards for doing Kunark quests are pretty good, although you need every bit of it to survive in Kunark.

I've had little problems in Kylong Plains, but I did start a thread about it when I went into the Kunzar Jungle. I really had some problems there!
But a respec and a new weapon later (cudgel, expensive at 11 pp but still more than worth it with regular crits up to 1300 for instance), not mentioning the quest rewards that tend to replace armour pretty fast, later, I'm actually finding it fairly doable again.
In short, I find it a combination of just luck (sometimes you just get hit less and do more damage than others) with a careful examination of the areas to improve (armour and weapons) and also getting used to the mobs. They are harder than the older zones, I don't think many will doubt that.
On the other hand, I know of a 75 conjuror killing of a lvl 81 mob. It's all relative I suppose.

A lot of the mobs now DOT/Debuff as well, so it's hard to lump everything into one pot. If you'll remember in KOS, droag and whatnot were pretty straight forward but the ravasect would hit like a mack truck. in ROK I'm finding that in jarsath the droag there are hitting way harder than a lot of other mobs in other zones of comparative power.
At 80 however (conj), with an Adept 3 pet I can solo anything ^, but usually need help with ^^ above 80. It all depends on your class and style of play.
