Power Group MadnessFollow

Seem to run into this more and more, groups that invite you without saying a word and just run around like a madman with little communication. everyone knowing what to do. Just kill, kill, kill with me trailing behind trying to figuring out what is going on.

Being a healer, that is rough as I need to know what we are attempting to do.

IE the other day I was in a group in NT, first time there. They went in invis, then mobs attacked when someone got to far from the furry, we all ran for it. Huge train appeared behind us, everyone stopped at the bridge to face the mobs. There was a small army on us, some of the tanks started engaging the mobs. I thought, yea right, Like I can heal everyone taking this kind of damage.

So what do I do, I evac. I don't have time to say, ummm do you want to die or evac.

Poof everyone safe back at zone.

Now everyone is really mad at me, why did you do that?

I tell them I thought we were going to die.

No, we jump off at the bridge there and we are safe, they tell me. The tanks engage the mobs and everyone jumps then they jump

Oh that would have been a nice to know. Did you ever get in a new zone, and everyone knew what to do but you. I told them I had never been to NT before. TO be honest they were a great bunch, I felt like such a noob, I have been playing for a very long time, but at the time it seemed prudent to save the group.

DOH, rooky move.

another common problem with groups that have no idea where to stand. Tanks run off, some of the group follows some dont, the remaining group wonders what they should do, because they were under the impression the tank was pulling back to them. So they reluctantly follow. the tank comes back, runs right past the following group to the old pull spot everyone was supposed to stay at and starts fighting. We all join him, kill the mob.

This time, the tank runs off deeper in the dungeon, now the question is, has the pull spot moved up, or do we stay here. So we move up a bit, tank runs by..

Rinse and repeat, LOL

The PuG's will have this, even guild groups can run into this problem. Lack of communication can wipe a group very easily.

As for that evac, well, at least you saved them, I think they'ld have been a lot madder if you got them all killed. I've gotten groups killed myself on several occasions, usually a very stupid mistake that led to the wipe. It happens, even in groups that know what they are doing.

You get that a lot when everyone else in the group is on Ventrillo or Teamspeak and they neglected to mention it to you. They're all communicating, just not to you... Or they play together ALL the time and know each other that well/

Solution? Leave the group.

I don't group a lot. But if I get a group where the puller hasn't got a "Stay here" and "incoming" macro (I mean, geez, even I can program those), and no one will tell me the MA? Buh-bye.

Simple solution. I decline all group invitations where they don't speak to me first. My main is a healer and needs to know what's planned BEFORE she enters a group.
