I wanna play EQ2 again but last time I wanted to play I had to upgrade my RAM, but the graphics were really choppy and slow, so I uninstalled the game.

Im think the graphics were so bad because I was using a onboard graphics card (is that what is called..?) which apparently wont run EQ2 at all. Does anyone know a name of a graphics card that will run EQ2 well? I need one that will definately run EQ2, because im not going to be happy if I spend however much on a card and it still doesnt run well D:

A link to such a card would be great

Thanks

That's all the supported video cards. Different brands make them, but any of them will work.

the GeForce 8800 comes highly recommended, but it's speeeeeeendy. I just upgraded from a GeForce 6600 to a 7900 - both worked fine.

You can get Geforce 6100ish cards pretty cheap and they play the game pretty decently. I have a PC with a old Geforce 3 and it actually plays the game ok as well. I would recommend the Geforce 6000ish series if your on a budget though.

Honestly, onboard graphics are really crappy for most setups, if you get any Geforce 7000 series and above or any graphics card that has at least 256mb of ram for that matter, you will probably see a great improvement from onboard video.

I'd broaden that to the 6000 series, but yeah. Onboard is fine if all you want to do is surf the 'net.

1 gig is quite enough, but things work more smoothly with 2. Ofcourse, more tends to be better, 1 gig is quite sufficient.

The Geforce8800 and 2 gig of ram is indeed a good combination, got a new computer with that (GT version, not the very expensive GTX) and I have little problems when playing. But there is still lag in the new zones, I'm not sure just what would solve that.
