stuck in Frostfell mazeFollow

I'm embarrassed to say that I'm tired of running around this damn maze looking for a tombstone. The monsters are no problem, I've seen all the NPCs. I'm just south of the two groups of NPCs and I know the tombstone is right around here. I'm standing in front of a big torch. I think I see something important up on the hill in front of me, but I don't know how to get up there. I've been running around for over two hours. Can somebody tip me off?

Thanks, I read this. Great spoiler. Would help to have the coords of the gravestone needed to finish the quest. The NPCs were easy enough to find. I think the end tree is on top of the mountain/ hill in front of me, but I can't find a way up. Surely someone has made this run this year and can give me a pointer.

Frankly, I think that you can get lost even with directions. The key for me was testing every possible alternative once I'd reached the rear of the maze.

But then I'm not a maze person. I think it has something to do with my mother losing me in a department store when I was a kid.
