What type of PVP do PvE servers offer? I'm trying to decide whether I'm going to go pve or pvp server. Thanks

You can challenge someone to a duel, one on one only. There are a couple of arenas where groups can get involved, but I (and I think most players) don't usually bother with any PvP. I always select the option to auto-decline duel invitations.

Try rolling a toon on both types of servers and see which you prefer. You are not just limited to one server, only by the number of character slots on your account.

Yeah, PVE server PVP is limited to consensual duels and the arenas. Essentially you can't be "aumbushed". PVP servers, on the other hand, have you watching your back at all times as an enemy combatant can strike whenever.

I have got a 42 ranger on pvp and multiple chars on pve. PvP is fun as hell if you can find a group to run with. It has gotten to where if your not in a group lvling solo is next to impossible. Wheather you play good or evil groups of peeps will come mow ya down with no trouble at all, and will keep doing too if they can find you. Such is life on pvp you come to expect that stuff. Just done expect to live long w/o a group watching your back.

And thus the reason I will never ever touch PVP again. Nothing but cheap shots and bullying. The way MMORPG games are made it doesn't matter how much skill you have, chances are you will lose if somebody higher then you comes after you.

EQ1 was horrible in PVP. Heck I remember being a lvl 7 trying to go to POK and you couldn't because there was always a lvl 65 (cap at the time) guarding the book. One good cast and BAM you was dead. Then they would run to the respawn point and kill you over and over again talking trash the whole time. I finally had to do a /quit and I never returned.
