I'm a WoW exile. I have been playing a fury and Monk for 3 days now. Trying to figure out which is going to be my main.
I like them both for different reasons, but I want to focus on only one for now. I have a friend I met in game (community pwns WoW) who is gonna roll a warden so we can duo together with the monk.. should I go that route? since I am new.

A monk and a warden make for a good combination imo. The problem is ofcourse that I don't know if that's also the case for pvp, I can only speak for regular pve.
Ultimately it would be what you want to do, if you don't like melee and keeping the aggro all the time, then monks aren't for you. We get up close and personal with the mobs, regularly for a longer period of time as we don't always do that much damage (it can be quite good though, don't get me wrong, and with devastating fist spell, I can take out standard mobs with one blow no matter their hp, as an example that we can pack a punch, but still).
